No. Only the new nvidia cards will run triple screen on a single card.

Really? My work computer runs on triples with a single 2009 AMD HD 5870. And that is iRacing with all detail turned on.

I'm terribly confused as to how the premier series work... Can someone explain?

(Sorry for the nooby-ness of the question)

The older AMD cards will run triples on one card but the older Nvidia cards will not. Sorry for not explaining that earlier. The only nvidia cards that will run triples on one card are the 590, and some of the new 600 series cards. I know the 680 will and I think the 670 will but I don't know how far down the line the go.
I have 2 GTX 570s and it takes both of them to run triple screens. One 570 will only run 2 screens. That's not because the card isn't powerful enough and it would get a bad framrate, it's because it is hardware limited to 2 screens.

The card on the computer he bought is an Nvidia card, that's why I said only the new Nvidia cards would run triples. I didn't mean to comment on AMD cards.

My GTX 660 Ti does not do triple. So, I think 670 is the lowest with the function ability.

Why are there 2 Nvidia challenge road races, and 2 stock oval races in the rookie class?

Never mind I found it.

Always qualify on the Jetta, as you can see there where a few MX5s that where quicker than you wich is always problematic because the Jettas will slow down the MX5 big time! That's why you get MX5s moving in on the brakes, you really need to push hard on the oppening laps to put some space between you and the leading MX5s.

That's hard, when there are Division 1 Jetta guys in the way. :sly:

But, yeah, I was going to try to let the MX-5s by, but... the guys kept spinning, after every time I tried to let them pass. I guess they thought that I was going to mass-murder them?

Anyways, I'm still in the Division 6 points lead, for the Jettas. :ouch: Mainly because I'm the only Jetta in Division 6. Will be an easy championship, if this is the average turnout.

Actually, it'll be an easy championship either way. :scared: Apparently, I'm en-route to approximately equal last season's champion's points. :scared: (This done by me, with what is likely Top Gear maths.)

57 points in first race x 10 races = 570 points. Last season's highest points in division was 573. :D

Only a maximum of 8 weeks points are used for the championship points calculation - there are 4 'drop' weeks. So you'll need about 71 points a week...

Bah. Alright. I really doubt that I'll meet MPR, ever again. All of the series I want to be in, are Class C, Class D, or Rookie.

And the "View Cart" balance comes to $232, just for Class C/D license cars/tracks. But, I will have my Star Mazda, Jetta, AND Rolex... :sly:

I will more than likely get the HPD or the Vette to complete my Class B MPR as a lot of the tracks are the same as the ones in the Grand Am Series... Not to mention it's multiclass, which in my opinion makes the racing more interesting. Also I will then be able to compete in the Le Mans races when they come up.

As for Class A, that will more than likely take more time as I have to purchase the Williams and a lot more new tracks.

You don't have to drive the Williams to get A-Class licence, in fact you can't drive it before you have the A-Class Licence ;) I got my A-Class licence doing 4 fast time trials in the HPD after my SR was above 4 after racing in Grand Am.

Seriously, well that'll save me some money. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Points are strictly dependant of SOF, sometime you'll get 80 points for a 1st place, sometimes you'll get 120 or more for a 3rd place.
For season 1 the guy who beat me for the Vette championship on Div 3 did by something like 6 points and only 6 races while I had run 10 weeks, he had an iRationg of 2,900+ and was averaging 170 points with 2nd or 3rd places per race while the most I'd get for a win was 100 points on my splits.

Hmmm... had to double check my calendar to see if it's April 1.
Is that on the website? - nevermind - it is! What are they thinking???

I thought you made that up so I went and looked. This could be the beginning of the end of iRacing as we know it. Why in the world would they do that. Maybe make it like that n a demo or something just to see what it looks like, but in actual races would be crazy.

I'm just hoping that is worded poorly, and its allowing people to touch a couple buttons on their screen to escape, reset, etc...

The rest of the updates sound awesome, though.

Here you go. I guess it would be a good way to get more people to try it. There is no way anyone would get out of Rookie class doing this.

I'm thinking hoping the exact same thing...
Not to worry though, even if it is allowed / possible somehow what are the odds the people driving with a touch screen / mouse would ever stick around? Their SR would be a joke, and I can't imagine drivers progressing very far.

to make iracing more..accessible...to people who maybe don't have the hardware

Yes, because touch screen computers capable of running something 3D at more than 15fps are the norm, and a $99 steering wheel is out of the question.

Edit: I haven't figured out how he's doing anything except steering in that video.

Edit2: That being said, I'd totally play an iRacing Mobile game like that on a tablet or whatever.
