Well I couldn't call it squeaky clean, I'd be lying  I had a few off tracks and stuff, but most of it was from the 4x contact.. Oh well, I didn't race any A class series anyways.

Yea there are a few areas on every track where the off track incident points are slightly ridiculous

I forgot, at what point do you get demoted?it's below 1.00 SR right or below 2.00 SR going into the next season?

Below 2.00 at the end of the season for a demotion, or below 1.00 at any time for fast track (instant) demotion.

I always thought it was below 1.0.

May be wrong though.

If you are below 2.0 at the end of the season you will be demoted. If you drop below 1.0 at any time during the season you will be demoted.

I noticed this even with Nationwide at the Glen, I was passing someone who was slower coming out of the bus stop when we touched doors and 4x. I was like um..that was weird as he wasn't even enough to do anything to either of us.

What I hate is when I get a 4x because of a spinning car. It's happened 2 or 3 times in the past couple of weeks. In the Cup race on Sunday, there's a bunch of us nose to tail. The guy in front of me gets loose and goes wide (left) coming out of the bus stop. I start to pass on the right (heading up to the big right hander) and he fishtails back over and taps my door. It's no big deal. 1x and no damage. Then he continues to spin off the track and I get the 1x -> 4x thing! I guess the system is configured to bump you up to 4x if the other driver wrecks or goes off track, but it sucks when they touch you in the middle of their wreck and you get penalized.

If one tire goes off anywhere in the bus stop, it's an off track x1 at the Glen. Also, I've noticed at VIR that 1 tire off in the uphill esses is an automatic off track x1

Given all the bumping and sliding and spinning out that happens in the real Cup series, how many drivers would get demoted right out of their Cup rides if they were subjected to the iRacing SR system?

I've had it were a major wreck has occurred in front of me and I manage to make it through unscathed except for a 0x tap with another car that automatically gets bumped up to 4x. Sometimes luck goes the other way. I just missed an accident the other day when one of the cars involved flew up over my car.

Montoya would've been banned 6 times by now  Dale Earnhardt never would have been allowed on the track either

I've not really got one on shallow entry to it but coming out I got that 4x for some light door contact which was weird. Sometimes their system seems to have a glitch but it is what it is.

I had plenty of good races last week but one really bad where I took out a guy in last turn because he was alot slower than I thought and couldn't get slowed down fast enough but then I couldn't dive to pit road because we caused a huge mess.

If they do bring a dirt series to iRacing (in the very distant future), I would bet they create a Dirt class of SR

Would love to see them incorporate Dirt, Gravel, and Snow. Let's get some WRC love! But first, a new F1 car please - with realistic gear ratios and sound! Would love to have those 2004 cars. What beasts!!

Have you tried the FW31 now? 👍

Anyone doing ISR's 120 Minutes of Thunder @ Watkins Glen this year? It's on August 31st using the Mclaren, Cadillac, and DP.

Would depend on time because I have tickets to a Auburn football game that evening

We don't need an older F1 car, we need a newer one.... The road DWC's currently have a 2009 Williams FW31, whereas the oval DWC's have a 2013 Ford Fusion Gen6 and a 2013 Chevrolet SS Gen6... So we are a little outdated, as are the Riley (new generation cars are out since last season with the Corvette DP) , the Corvette, the HPD, but then again some of the lower class oval cars are a few years out of date too.

And Daniel, for a few brief laps last night I was beating you, then you had to go and do a low 1.11 to spoil my moment of joy... :)

The HPD isn't outdated, still the same car Level
5 and ESM use in the ALMS.

Latest news is that iRacing is having trouble getting the data for both upcoming Hondas, the HSV 010 and the Civic. Looks like it's going to be a long time before we see the beautiful HSV in iRacing. :(
