Go to the Ford GT forum and search on the Ford GT Paint Shop, a lot of nice skins in there all for free!

The real effects of hitting it

They must be farely new then. I know the last time I watched a Formula 1 race at Montreal, that epic last lap mistake by Seb, they certsinly weren't there ripping suspensions apart.

I kept searching in the paint forum, never thought to look in the actual Ford GT forum... thanks Jav.

Hey guys! Just signed up for this and thought I'd put it up here, they're a pretty good and well organized group so if you're looking for a league/group to run with they are definitely worth taking a look into:

I might sign up... I'd love to drive the MP4 in a friendly environment before joining official races. Not sure though.

Question about license fast tracking... I'm currently Class C @ 3.97 SR. I'd like to know exactly how fast tracking works. Will I get fast tracked to B even though I haven't ran any Class C races? or will I still have to run races at > 4.00 SR? (I'm racing the Skippy which is D).

You still need to satisfy your mpr to fast track. So you have to do 4 C or higher time trials or races. One cool thing is that once you get over 4, you can do B level races so if you do 4 B level races or time trials, you will fast track to B but you will also have fulfilled your mpr for B license and at the end of the season you will be promoted to A if you keep your SR above 3.

Interesting! Alright Zathra, that was very helpful. I think I'll wait until I'm closer to 5.0 before attempting to meet my MPR to ensure I maintain my SR. :)

Alright gentleman, I'm trying to take some new pictures. How do I get the Camera to swing around or place it at some of those extreme angles like I've seen in some videos?

So I just had the single highest SR increase in a race. +.58 on a single race. Damn.

It goes the other way as well. Last night I had a disaster of a race. I lost 0.6 SR in just one race. I've tripled my career wins this week alone. I've actually led laps now and have a couple of poles but this week has been horrible on my SR.

There is no real reason to avoid promotion on the road side. Your SR is calculated off of your corners per incident. A C license 4.0 is approximately equivalent to a B 3.0. The only real reason to go for promotion is if you want to race a higher series. What I'd be tempted to do if I was you would be to go for a double fast track promotion. Get your license up to C 4.99 or 5. It won't go visibly higher than that but it will in the background as your corners per incident gets better. Then do 4 B level time trials. If your "real" SR is above 5, the promotion should drop it to just above 4. Since you've already completed your MPR for B, you should get a fast track promotion to A. I doubt many people have done that.

Congrats! That's a hell of an achievement, way to go!

Thanks, next stop hopefully a Pro license... Looking decent so far anyway.

Unfortunately it didn't last long..

What a shame :guilty:

Yeah, that's twice that moron has had wheelspin off the line and kept his foot flat down taking out most of the field... Frankly he shouldn't even have a Pro license, but it is what it is and he will wreck enough times in the Pro Series and get demoted soon enough.

Should hopefully get my iR back up at Phillip Island, but this was the first week this season in the iGPS that I have lost iR, but still managed some decent championship points....

Yeah, really disappointing.

It's very strange because I know that guy since Star Mazda Season4 2012, he was really fast and he seldom did mistakes.

Maybe he's in that period when everything goes wrong, but I'm sure that he doesn't do that on purpose.....I can't imagine how he feels now and how he felt just after that mistake.

Once upon a time I had a B license and got demoted due to a horrible race where I made a couple bad judgement moves. I lost .47 SR and since then I've recovered it and gone to new heights. This is my only concern about going up... I think I've gotten past that incident so to speak, but I really don't want to be demoted again.

Anyways, in preparation for my upcoming promotion I purchased the HPD to do some time trials thanks to the recent credit promotion ($100 for $75). That thing's a beast!

Oh and I'm now the proud owner of all road tracks in the service. :D Just made sure to leave enough credits to buy the RUF once they release it. :)

I ran the 10:45 EST Grand Am race last night in the MP4. I was using an old setup (I think it was Jav's from the Daytona 2.4) that wasn't the best on the latest build, but was holding a decent pace and staying clean mid-pack. Then, I encountered a spun DP sitting at the exit of turn 1. I had some oversteer and ended up sliding into the wall on the left. It was just a light tap and I only received a 1x Off Track. Nothing for contact. I continue on and the car is crabbing back and forth like crazy. I really had to nurse it just to get back to the pits. I pull in and have 20 seconds required and over 6 minutes optional!
I didn't expect to finish well in this single split race anyway, and really just wanted to boost my SR, so I sat for about half of the optional repairs then headed back out. It still had a little dead spot in the middle, but was much better. Then, before I even made it around a whole lap, my screens went black. The iRacing program had crashed! That's the first time I've ever had that happen. Anyone else had any trouble with the latest build?

LMAO!!
Man that was a messy race from the pace lap! iRacing really really needs to do something with this idiots picking up the HPD rise all hell!! Some of them have no clue on how to set up a pass and try to do it on the worst places on track...

Winner!

Yeah there were 2 incidents that i saw where HPD drivers clearly had no business on the track. One was absolutely intentional.

So I finally get the gumption to run a race. Someone explain why it is that in my last few attempts to race I get taken out by a driver from Brazil? What is it and this crap driving by Brazilian drivers? Not meaning to sound like a bigot but I am finding Brazilian drivers just plain suck!!

We've had this conversation about Brazilians on iRacing in the past. If someone would like to find that conversation, that would be much appreciated.
