Totally off topic, but Bill Auberlen is the coolest dude ever.
I agree! I had the oportunity to meet him once and the guy is just a down to Earth humble person, talking to him is like talking to a friend.

Ok so I just got iracing and I tried it for the first time and all I have to say is it is very hard to go back to GT6. The physics and the tire model is superb. Money well spent!
It's totally worth it. :)

Yes it is! Been a member for almost a week now. It's FREAKIN awesome. Still playing with wheel set-ups. And $15 for 3 month's gives you a lot to do. Purchased the C6.R, though I can't race it just yet, it's a beast.

Eventually as you work your way up and find the series you want to commit and stay in you often tend to settle into a schedule of practicing alot during the week to build up your pace and wait for the higher SOF races on the weekend, or atleast thats what im doing with the Ford GT. Currently leading my division in points with a decent 180 point lead so all i gotta do is get a fairly decent points haul for the few remaining weeks to win.

I did the same thing but got the a DP. That car is a beast to throw around Sebring.

The DP is one of the hardest cars to drive on the service at least from my experience
Its hard to drive because its practically broken, front end has all the grip in the world while the rear just sways about like a dirty sock.

the Riley DP? That's pretty much all I race, I find it one of the easiest cars in the service. The trick to it is your setup, luckily There are folks that freely share their set ups, guys like David Scott.

Look HERE for his setups. I have modified his setups to my liking, which most people do anyways. If anyone wants my David Scott setups give me a shout. I believe I still have his setups that he posted at iRacing. I am now in division 5, the last season I raced in the DP I was in division 7 and I won the title. </patsback>

It's fun to drive, but compared to cars like the Ford GT and McLaren it's difficult. I have raced once in the DP this season. I won an endurance race at The Glen. It was a lot of fun

On every night ,like when I was on Gran T'mo testing, testing, testing and more testing. Relearning virtual car dynamics. The Mustang is challenging I got the hang of it with it's heavy weight and skinny tires. Put together a pretty decent tune for Summit Raceway tt close to the "optimal" every lap.

I think the mustang is the most fun car on the service. Excellent group of racers and a fun car to drive

Hey guys, any Cross Fire user here? I'm curious on what performance you guys might be getting from it, and would like to ask if it is possible to use 2 different ATI cards in Cross Fire(both support it)?

Im done with Iracing for a long time now. To many strange issues in the car physics and damage physics to feel
anything but a victim and a passenger in a car that you would to be able to Control in simular situations in other simms or for that matter in real life. To be competetive in the higher classes you need a team to work the setupps
for you. I dont Believe the posted "fast setupps" are the one the fast guys are using. To be sucessfull in iracing get a team or quit you day jobb or you wont to even get near the fast guys. Their set upps generate extreme cornering and top speed at the same time. Try that yourself and you only get one off the two. And then theres the lack off driving skills in general causing mayhem and lack off quality. And then theres the pennalty on different track like spa....
To be able to finnish on that track in a 70 min races without getting the 17x is only frustrating and not fun at all. You have the cutting pennalty why even bother with the xxxs? Its a expensive game that unfortenatly most off the time only gets me angry or irritated. Ive had some god and fun times also but not enough for me to invest that amount off time that iracing demands.

April Fools?

3 entry Mustang Challenge race @ SPA and I get sideswiped in the second corner, first lap...real 🤬 funny! Guy got DQ'ed and I get 2nd, -21.155 back :banghead:. The Mustang is a challenge to drive. :gtpflag:

After running the RUF Track on Spa for a week in the GT3 challenge, I forgot how easy it is compared to the C-spec RUF. I took the C-spec for a spin at Spa yesterday to do some practice and qualifying for the RUF Cup this week. The first couple of laps in practice I ended up facing the other direction like 3 times a lap :D

I'll need some more practice I think before running a race. My 2.29 qualifying lap isn't fast enough compared to the faster guys. In GT3 I was 3 seconds off the pace of the really fast guys. Now I'm sitting at around 4.5 seconds slower...
