The Devs have come out and said there is an issue with the force feedback, whether this is affected controllers or not I don't know but they are aware and working on a fix.
"We are aware of the wheel issues in NASCAR 25 and have been working through the night to get a fix into the pipeline as quickly as possible. We apologize to all our fans, and are working diligently with members of the community across facebook groups and other methods to gather info and address as soon as we can. We will update everyone as soon as we have an estimated ETA on a fix. But, it is our top priority." - Matt Lewis, iRacing Studios

I'm waiting for the PC release, but from what I've seen so far, there are a lot of little things that seem bizarrely overlooked.

I saw that the COTA track limits were "broken" in the sense that they were using the FIA-limits, suggesting they ported the track straight from iRacing without touching the limits which feels like a dumb oversight (nevermind the track being incorrect; it uses the chicane at the shortcut).

There's also no way to adjust the setup within the pits, which, and this is really weird to me, but apparently you have to ask to pit? Otherwise you just drive through them? That makes no sense to me when literally every NASCAR game ever had it :confused::confused:

Also you can get a GWC even though you're on the last lap :indiff:

Something tells me they needed more time for polish. Some of the things they missed are just plain dumb, but missing feedback on wheels is unacceptable.

So for those who don't have it or want to know more about the settings and whatnot, here are the settings menus for all sorts of things.

Finally, paint booth feature I like, it puts stars on the colours your using throughout the paint booth to make it easier to coordinate different elements.

I have to say that the AI is fantastic to race against in this game. They have both speed and awareness, so they won't just cut down on you like you aren't there. I had a great race on Kansas where I ran 3 wide several times without crashing, ran other drivers up the track and even got a few shoves from Brad Keselowski. Yep, this is a NASCAR game alright. I'm also happy that it doesn't treat you like a baby. The developers know why you've bought the game and lets you get on with it immediately, instead of being put through some cringey dialogue and a stupid story about grandad's Beetle.

PS5 patch imminent to address some of the earlier issues.

Sad that once again the early adopters are just unpaid testers for basic stuff that should’ve been picked up already. Looks like a good game but I’ll wait until it’s actually finished.

Yep went live this morning. It seems that some of the stuff that broke into the day one patch was working prior to launch such as the FFB. There were 2 day 1 patches though, something must have gone wrong there.

Some replay action from my ARCA series career mode race at Bristol. I'm the green and yellow #89 car. Not my best driving, had the setup too tight and wasn't quite in the groove with it.

I’m waiting till the 14th for it because money, but this really does look like a massive leap forward for console NASCAR games and I’m really looking forward to it. Heat 4/5 were okay, but they were always so limited. This looks like a major scaling upwards of ambition and I’m not surprised it’s been executed much better because World of Outlaws etc were so well done. Yes there will be a few bugs but most people seem to be really enjoying it that I’ve seen.

Is world of outlaws worth buying for someone who has never tried that type of racing game before?
