I'm missing the point of the video. Yes, as a Scot, I've drank a fair bit of the orange liquid. After all, Scotland is the only country in the world who's number one selling soft drink isn't coke or pepsi.

I missed it when I was in Canada, and I'm going to miss it when I'm living in Japan.

It just made me laugh so I thought I'd post it, like daan and his "OMG Trampoline" video, albeit the language is worse in this one..

Apparently, it's racist and unpatriotic to drink anything but Irn Bru in Scotland..... Everything in Scotland is ginger, so it's right they make their drinks ginger. Still, it's something to help the deep fried mars bars go down.....

Had one of those a few weeks ago. It looks like a deep fried turd but tastes a whole lot better.

Actually, the whole "everyone is ginger" is a myth. Few people here are ginger's.

and has a warning about not spilling it on clothes because it will stain. What the 🤬 is it doing to your insides then?

Also, I loved the Irn Bru ad that was screening when I lived in Scotland:

I'm actually amazed a legitimate discussion has spawned from the video in OP's post. Seriously, a 4 second video of someone swearing between saying Irn-Bru is not thread worthy.

Irn Bru is always thread worthy.
But seriously someone should start a proper fizzy-drink thread if it has not been done already.

They have Irn Bru at the publix here. But I haven't bought one because it's crazy expensive and it's probably been sitting there for like 5 years.

Well you will pay a premium for a quality product such as Irn Bru. ;)
The on the shelf bit for five years may sound concerning but don't worry, I'm sure there's enough preservative's and what not in it that it would be fine along with cockroaches after a nuclear holocaust.

I used drink a bit of it as a kid but the last time I had some it was mixed with vodka. Not bad actually.

Cheers Shaun.

Is the founder still alive? I read that once a month he goes down to the factory, and into a secret room alone where he mixes the flavours together to go in the drink, and he is the only one who knows the recipe, it's that secret.

God knows what he puts in it, in that room, on his own...

Brings this to mind:

Nice video in the OP. He could quite easily have been saying "Tennants 🤬 Super" and I wouldn't have batted an eyelid. I like Irn Bru but am nervous it can bring out latent Scottish tendancies like the love of fried food, alcoholism and domestic violence. Could someone advise?

:D

Wouldn't be legit though unless he was lying in the street in front of a pub, nose splattered across his face with blood running down his shirt.
💡 Actually sounds like Melbourne on a Saturday night. :ouch:

Cheers Shaun

When I lived in Newcastle I basically lived of Irn Bru and fish & chips. Good times.

No actually it wasn't good times. Newcastle sucks.

They just dye their hair other colours. Being ginger is just as much a state of mind as it is a hair colour anyway.
