I fail to see how any of that would improve this game or future titles in the series; and for all the mediocrity that it is, removing damage in particular would make the game considerably worse.
That post was assuming they would have more time/resourses to concentrate on those items I stated to be included, had they left out the points I stated. Mainly because IMHO they are pointless features of the game that are better and selling the game itself to those that dont enjoy the finer points (i.e. tuning, handing physics etc etc).
I mean they created Cape Ring but no Spa? Makes no sense to me at all.
The fact that you can buy a brand new R32 premium car and change wheels, yet cant do the same for the same model (but different version of) from the used car market is fail in every sense of the word. Same goes for the FC Rx7. If they had gotten rid of interiors, I'm certain we would not have this standard vs premium fiasco.
I will say the interiors are done spectacularly well (jaw dropping at night time even), but most people do not race in interior view purely due to the lack of visibility. So its just a waste. Same goes for the water effects on the windscreen and the wipers
As far as damage goes, it is impossible to model well, and adds little value to the game IMHO. After each race, the car is mended so whats the point? And its one of those things thats either very crap, or very good. Grand Theft Auto falls into the latter, GT5 very much so falls into the former.
I just hope PD realize this sort of feedback and change GT6 for the better. Go back to the roots sort of thing.......
PS the above are just opinions of mine.
