There is a bit more to it than a cockpit.
Which was mostly only for the benefit of marketing and for Photomode purposes, Even kaz seems to agree it was somewhat a mistake, with the statement, suggesting they may being more suited to a Next Gen title.
It is there from the start. Bumpers dint, crumple and loosen, marks are made. You want bits flying off everywhere and cars bursting into flames? They have chosen not to recreate destruction derby. This seems to be a design decision rather than a failure of development.
A poorly implemented inconsistant system, that may appear to some as a poor design decision and to some extent a failure of the developement of the series, the complete lacking of mechanical damage is also a questionable decision, apparantley it may be added later, yet so far, i've only heard suggested (in the tweets from Kaz I think) that it will affect the steering

add that to the fact, that I myself at least, will likely have completed the main Aspec mode before this update ever arrives.
That's GT - nothing has changed since the beginning of the series. Some people like it, some don't.
I guess that is the point, Kaz always promises the changes , but in the end every GT ends up just the same, as often those ever promised advances are either removed, greatly muted or poorly implemented, and we are left to rely on systems not much different from what was first developed for the PS1 era tech and gamers.
Yes the Veyron would have made a good premuim. No matter what car you mention that could have been a premuim some one else will make the case for another car. They drew the line where they wanted to.
I guess when you consider that with almost 6 years development, people have a right to expect something a little more in the way of improved content, The premiums are overdeveloped for the game and system on which they appear, another poor design choice.
Agreed also.
I agree, but I know of at least 2 people that hated driving games before they saw b-spec in GT. They basically use this to play it as an RPG. Each to their own.
Agree here also, but as to why it was made a totally seperate part of the game is another poor desgin choice in my opinion, it should have been left as optional part of Aspec for those moments that I may actually not have the time to do certain events.
It could be better. It is better than earlier versions.
It is slightly better, but really it needs to be a lot better.
It appears to me that instead of developing completely new code and systems for the AI they are still constantly trying to evolve the floored system from GT1.
A 6 year time frame should easily have allowed the AI team to develop a new and advanced personality AI sytem.
Personal taste. I like Apple pie. Some people don't.
Music....I like Rhubarb crumble
Agreed. Lets hope it comes in an update.
Agreed also, although Kaz as a racer should have known how important this was in the first place.
But I guess qualifying is irrelevant when the events arent even managed to any great degree to keep entrants to within guidelines.
Of course I can re run an event for the challenge, by constantly downgrading my car until I reach a level of equal competitiveness, but along with the poor AI, im often having to race in much lower grade cars than the surrounding competition, leaving me feeling a poor sense of realistic immersion.
I think it has been said before that they were doing other things as well in the 6 years since GT4. They probably didn't have the PS3 hardware for a year or two after GT4.
GTHD appeared on PS3 soon after release.
Its been the constant change of design strategy and constant meddling and delays by Sony for there own benefits that have casued the problems here.
We eventually got the same principle game we were promised with premiums and standards, that was talked about delivering in the very early days of the PS3, the original GTHD was only canned for the pricing structure of the content, in the end we got the same game, which has appeared over the last couple of years at least according to Kaz to have been 90% complete.
Yet then there were more delays, as more Sony Promoting Product features were introduced, and it is this I feel has had the most detrimental effect on the final title in the features avaialable, due to limited system resources in the system in order to keep 3D an option, I get the feeling a lot of programming cycles and a lot of man hours of unused code is sitting somewhere in PDs offices.
