Not signed up for that site, but I usually average 34-36mpg in town. Hit 40mpg on a road trip last month.

I average 17-20. I drive hard.

*edit*

I meant 15-20.

Driving to work is mostly highway, but when I'm cruising around town I push it too hard, always kills my mileage... :grumpy:

 I realized that I might not like my results once I start updating this regularly.

Last summer I was able to average nearly 29 MPG regularly with my 1998 Toyota Celica GT, but lately it has dipped down to about 26 MPG - Give or take what was advertised on the window sticker.

22MPG usually in the Acura. On the highway, over 30MPG easily even though the trip computer won't acknowledge it.

I think the GTI overall average is around 21 right now. I'm getting 17 in Holland, 25 on the freeway and I averaged 30 on my trip down from Traverse City.

Those numbers are pretty awful I think. And I'm trying to drive reasonably economically.

Not on Fuelly, but I use Ecomodder's MPG chart:

graph3168.gif

That shows every tank since I bought the car. And yes, those are US gallons. That 23mph reading was in the middle of winter when the car was off the road for a while too. Obviously it included actual driving, most of which was in the snow, but a lot of idling too when my car was immobile just to keep the engine healthy by warming it up every week.

I was on Fuelly for a while, but then I realized that I don't need a website to tell me my car gets shtty gas mileage.

how would you get mileage when you can't actually fill the tank anymore? we went pre-pay when theives started stealing gas at the 2.65 mark, and I haven't been able to fill up the tank since.

Haven't signed up on there, but I average 16mpg around town and 30-35mpg highway.

Not bad for a 13 year old supercharged tank.

i get 30mpg according to my rough calculations..

440 km for 40litres of petrol = 30mpg?

highway driving only i can get almost 540 km out of 40 litres which is.. im my math is correct 38mpg

I have an SUV, so it should be rated in gallons per mile :D.

I have an iPod touch app that keeps track of this as well as cost per mile, miles traveled, and some other stuff. According to that my average is around 28.5 in the Miata.

According to the original window sticker from my Ranger (which I still have), my truck does 21 city and 24 highway. That is still better than any other pickup truck on the road today!

Makes sense, that's similar to mine. Mixture of highway, city and thrashing, yes?

Get about 35-37mpg in town, 40-42mpg on the freeway depending on how I drive, if I use the A/C etc. I could probably get more but with aftermarket wheels and tires, an auto trans, and a heavy foot I don't see that happening.

I'm getting at least 16 in the city and I've measured a range of 24 to 28 on the highway which depended on the direction of travel that particular trip. Overall I averaged 26 mpg on that two-way, 416 mile trip.

That's why you prepay more than you expect to use, then go in and get the change...

I skip 3rd a lot, 2nd to 4th. As long as i keep it out of the turbo range my car is very good on fuel. little 1.8lt 4cyl.

My DI 2.0T putting down economy similar to a rotary... Sad indeed.

With the 740 I've only roughly calculated it to about 16mpg once, but I'm sure it's the same or worse now.

My problem is my trans kick down cable isn't on because everything is out of adjustment, plus I'm a bit of a lead foot, so I literally floor it at every light. Not that it goes fast, I've been out accelerated by many a prius and camry. Also the road I take varies between a 45 and 50mph speed limit and has at least 8 or 9 lights on the way to where I drive every day.

a bit lower.

25.8 city
31.75 highway

an american gallon is smaller than a british one by about a litre.

the best I ever got was a car that'd do 640 km on a tank. 'course, that's a 60 liter tank and a tuned down 2.5 4 (all units converted)

my van computer is currently reporting
21.3 US
25.5 UK
11 l/100 km
