Poll added, as the jury seems very split.

I wish the Indy 500 was an FGT Race! ;.;
I wish people would come to realise that it is the FIA that handles licensing, not Burnie/FOM.
I mean, it seems F1 teams really love GT. Ferrari has had F1 cars in 3 GT titles, and Im pretty sure theres none in Forza. Red Bull apparently wanted to be in GT5 so bad they found a loophole in the FIA agreement and made a whole new "Futuristic" F1 car. Jordan also said in a news post from the Launch Party that a F1 team rep said they "desperately" wanted to be in GT5. Im implying this is McLaren, as Red Bull/Ferrari were already in, and a McLaren rep would be there for GT5's inclusion of the MP4-12C(unless anyone can think of another F1 team that would have been invited).
I would have thought GT getting the F1 licence was impossible just 2 years ago, but then again, the teams apparently love it, GT5 has gotten the NASCAR licence(which I never ever ever ever thought would happen) and WRC licence(another FIA championship). GT also has a couple F1 circuits already made in Suzuka, Monza, Nurburgring GP, Indianapolis Road Course, and Monaco. F1 seems to mant a standalone multiplatform game though, ex. F1 2010(aka buggy mess). But, then again, sony has held the F1 licence before, so itll know how to get it again. PD will have to add more tracks though, due to the wineing now trademarked with the GT community, and the "Give a mouse a cookie, hes going to want some milk" idea. So PD will need to make Spa Franchorchamps, Silverstone, Hockenheim(with the old set-up as well, of course), and maybe even the eye candy tracks as well such as Singnapore, China, and Abu Dahbi. All which is a lot of work, which will take lots of time and resources from other parts of the game.
So do you think PD will get the F1 licence in time for a GT5 dlc, GT6, or will they never even get it? Or will they not want it due to the time and perfection f1/gt fans expect? Do you even want gt to have it?
I guess PD could put some historic F1 cars in GT, but a real F1 game has to be a dedicated game. And we all know GT isn't that kind of game. It just has a bit of everything.

I may be in the minority, but I thought Codemasters did a pretty good job with F1 2010. Let me put it another way....they did a better job with F1 than PD did with GT5 **in my opinion**.
Neither one is perfect, but both are pretty good at what they attempted to do. I'm betting F1 2011 is better than both. (Well, if Codemasters fixes what was broke and adds in what was missing).
The F1 handling in this game is horrible, I hate it, and the cars don't handle very realisticly at all. If they did get it, it would just be like the NASCAR and WRC lisences, not used properly.
!
So who are you? Alonso? Webber? ......Coulturd?
I love posts like these. THE PHYSICS IN MY SIMULATED RACE CAR IS NOT REALISTIC I SHOULD KNOW. I'VE PLAYED THE LAST F1 GAME!

*DO NOT ANSWER THAT QUESTION*![]()
Because out of all of these you just listed only NASCAR and SuperGT have enough premium cars to make a decent race with friends online. Remember guys to some of us, and I hate using the term but for me and a LOT of others it's very true here, the standards are unplayable.
Besides that things feel tacked on. Look at NASCAR. Two ovals?!?!?!? Really? Come on. Even FM3 had more ovals than that. PD has the license and at no point did anyone say, "Hey you know two ovals ain't gonna get it, Let's at least make some ish up"
Lifes too short to be a downer, put your hopes down and everything will always exceed you expectations. Put it on roof cam and suck it up.*DO NOT ANSWER THAT QUESTION*![]()
