Is it possible to hack my keyboard hotkeys?

I have this:

I want to use the "Favorites" and "E-Mail" buttons to make my music skip forward and backward. Does anybody know how I can do this?

EDIT: I did a search and didn't find much help on the topic.

What's the chance of this? I have the exact same keyboard. Frankly, the mouse is useless, and eats batteries.

Do you have the Logitech software installed so that they work the way they are supposed to? If you do you'll need to uninstall that. Then go to whichever program you want it to work with, open the options/preferences, and see if there are programmable hotkeys. If there are, find the command you want them to do (next/previous) and press the button you want to assign it to. I'm not certain whether the buttons are recognized as anything at all, but there's a decent chance.
