After all these updates the game has received, is it worth buying and playing?
It's better to wait a couple more months for the next 'stabilization'?

Comes down to what you want from the game and how many missing/unfinished things you're willing to live with for now. I have it on PS5, I'm 40 hours deep and it's my most played racing game since it launch. The graphics aren't Gran Turismo, but the last update certainly made them a lot cleaner and sharper with a good colour palette, the sounds re fantastic for the most part and I've found it a lot of fun to play.

If you want a primarily single player focussed experience, go for it, career mode is simple but fun, the challenges are tough but fun, the breadth of options for making race weekend is huge and simply just driving a lot of the cars is a joy.

The AI still needs work, it is perfectly fine to race against for the most part bit they do occasionally still turn on on you and seem to just straight up struggle with certain car classes. Whilst the career mode is fun, it is relatively bare bones with no real progression depending on your financial starting point, you sort of have to manufacturer progression yourself.

If you're buying it predominantly for multiplayer, I'd give it a pass at the moment. P2P, unstable connectivity with regular crashes and drop outs, confusing championship system and it takes a lot of work through all of that to work up to cleaner races, there also isn't really enough players online due to the above for it to be a fun experience. If you're on console looking for good online racing in a sim, consider Rennsport.
