I'm a proud owner of 2 McLaren F1s... But I'm wondering, is there any (tuned) road car that can stand toe to to with a tuned McLaren F1 on any track?

Depends on the track.

Ford GT is quick.

Or a Murciélago for a power circuit.

They cannot live with the F1 if its fully tuned, There are a couple that if setup right can compete on the ring, they are the Nissan 390 GT riad car and possibly the ZZII or GTR '09.
Out of all the ford GT's not inc leman or spec II the GT 05 no stripe will in a strait line but cannot corner as well.

Fully tuned Veyron with a good driver will destroy that F1

Ford GT: not fast enough, turning is 'okay'

Murcialago: not fast enough, the Superveloce may out turn, but not enough to make up for lack of speed and acceleration.

Does anyone know much about the Tommy-Karia zz2

Mark already said it's a possibility.

The F1 though in truth though is definitely one of the harder cars to beat seeing as it gets respectable downforce with a wing. The R390 GT1 would be a candidate and it would be better on a twistier track but it doesn't have good straight capability over the F1, especially in the high range speeds as the R390 just seems to...die there, really.

I very much doubt it, maybe only round Le-sarthe. On the nurburgring ring even the best drivers struggle to get round under 6:15 and the F1 will get very close to 6:00. Sorry the Veyron cannot corner or brake like the F1.

True that! Also, I can get the McLaren to tail a car at 270+ (with stock tranny and no wing) and still out turn the veyron

Its going to have to be a Le mans built Road car because thats what the MF1 is and there are very few of them even in the game.
Most of them are Prototypes/concepts designs for Le mans GT class and that means they are not a road car.

Banana Yellow must repaint it. yuck..

The McLaren F1 is a road car without racing intentions, though, a slightly tuned one with a detuned engine won le mans and got 3rd and 4th. It will out run the r390, which IS a car made specifically for the race

My McLaren F1 can win LTW.:sly:

Like the Wind. That one event most people have been stuck on at some point.

My previous McLaren F1 won the Real Circuit Tours seasonal event at the Nurburgring without even being fully modded.

but the speed alone makes mine run 2:15- laps on spa. i'm pretty sure a better driver with a better setup could EASILY smash a McLaren F1

A ford GT'02 is a better stunt car than f1.Is just you give ne a good jump track and I can do 360 degrees or more in a flat spin ^_^

Corvette ZR1 RM fully tuned maybe? Or a Zonda?

If it's a ZONDA F it doesn't count

Hmmm I'll try it...

Shmo's TVR Cerbera 12 tune may be better, he managed to remove a lot of it's understeer while keeping the insanity!

2:15 round Spa eh not a chance of beating my Mclaren F1 on there then im putting in 2:03's.

RM'd means race modified. :dunce:

Not a chance it has similar problems as the veyron [built for America LOL]
cannot do corners well.
It really reads on this thread that a lot of posters really havent tried the F1 or if they have they really need to set it up properly.

Ive spent hours on the ring tuning the 12 speed and in a strait line from 70 mph to 200 mph its awsome but does not hold the high speed the F1 can and no matter how well its setup it wont corner as well. Although the ZR1 RM'd would be no match for top speed, but it will beat the F1 round the Nordsheife by around 6 seconds but at the end of the day it is race modified.

What about the Nissan GTR Spec V fully modified? It's pretty quick, decent top speed 235MPH+ and grips so well.
(Not driven it in a while and definately not compared it with the F1)

WOW comparing the W12 to a veyron in the corners!? thats just craziness,if anything it takes corners BETTER than a mclaren f1 because its not as nervous and the oversteer isnt bonkers.

Look at Shmo's tune for the cerbera 12. The problem that caused understeer in the cerbera 12, is not weight or downforce, leaving just the suspension and throttle control.

It's easier to turn oversteer into turning ability than understeer... With oversteer, just add grip. With understeer, drop the weight (if the car is heavy), and completely rebuild suspension.
