If so, what track? You can put rain tires on your car, so surely there must be a rain option somewhere? Or are they going to patch it in later like Driveclub?

I think it’s fair to say that the base release of Sport is pretty much a solid ‘platform’ for online racing that new content will be placed into.

I think some of that will be tracks and cars, and other stuff will include some kind of rain. I doubt it will have dynamic weather changes during the race due to the choice to not have dynamic time change in-game.

You are right that in time they will add cars/tracks (I hope real ones and not fiction creations) and rain will come at some tracks that will have a lower resolution.
Both dynamic weather and time are not going to be part of the title, something that Kaz made clear long ago.
BTW its a AAA "polished" title from a really big studio and not just a "base release".

I still would call it a base release. It's a base they will continue to add stuff to, like Kaz envisioned a previous game that never hit the shelves. Was it the original Vision GT? I can't recall.

If its just a "base" release then the joke is on us for paying the price of a full game...

Why its not the same thing?
You asked me if I prefer to pay a monthly fee in order to use the title. And I did answer you that we already need to pay a monthly fee to do that.
Fair enough. Would you rather pay another 15 bucks monthly instead of once / 60?

Well I could pay zero monthly fee if I go AC or Pcars in PC -examples-.Or I could pay 4,15 $ per month for 2 years of iRacing-since GTS is trying to be the iRacing of PS4-.100$ for two years (atm) is cheaper than 60$ + 2 years of PS4 Plus.
What title cost 15 $ per month?

PS plus allows you to play every game you could play online, not the GT Sport alone ^^

And btw, would you like to pay 4-5 bucks a woeek/2 weeks/1 month for upcomming DLC? Or for stuff in Milleage exchange?

Who said they were going to expand it with paid content every time? Did you pay to play the Senna content in GT6? Did you pay to paint calipers and wings?

No.

I bet a lot of content will be added for free, and some might be paid, like DLC usually is.
It’s not like Hitman were you pay for each individual mission. That concept sucked. Two years later and where’s season 2?

This is irrelevent. We were talking about playing GTS vs other titles and how much it costs.
@Lord Protector asked a question about that and I did answer.
In order to play GTS for a year you need:
GTS 60$ (lets take that as a price of the game since the actual price depends on the retailer,in PS store is still 69$ if I am not mistaken)
PS Plus fee is 60$ (for one year).
Thats a total of 120$ per year.
iRacing (since I think @Lord Protector was talking about that title) is 100$ for 2 years of membership aka 50$ for year more that 50% less money for the "base" package (plus whatever you option to buy in game).

And btw, would you like to pay 4-5 bucks a woeek/2 weeks/1 month for upcomming DLC? Or for stuff in Milleage exchange?

Again what title cost 5$ per month for DLC?Either way it depends on the DLC.If its a good one,why not.
(Do you know for sure that DLC in GTS will be free?Because I have not read anything about that anywhere).

And all this talk is not the subject that OP posted. We can talk if you want for these matters but I think this is not the topic to do so.
Who said they were going to expand it with paid content every time? Did you pay to play the Senna content in GT6? Did you pay to paint calipers and wings?

No.

I never said that I paid anything.I said that 69$ for a "base" is too expensive imo, especially in PS4 (or Xbox for that matter).

I agree. We are going to get more "free" stuff (btw these adds will be new to us but they have already developed those).Propably as you said they are going to add some DLC (paid like you said).Hitmat has nothing to do with all this talk.

*Really you people can get so defensive -when its out of the OP topic-.Even more when you call another member to answer your Q and does that, you still try to somehow prove him (me in this case) wrong.

Sorry just being pedantic here, that's $120 for 1 year and $60yr thereafter.

iRacing's monthly subscription is 15 bucks afaik. Not to mention you have to pay 12 bucks for a single car and 15 for a track. If you don't you are stuck with 7 cars! That is ridiculous my friend. We got TONS of free content in GT6. I'm pretty sure GTS will follow this.

Yes it is.Still its more money than the most expensive PC racing title, yes?
180$ for 2 years of GTS.(Game + PS Plus for 2 years)
100$ for 2 years of iRacing.
Unless you want to compare the price with other PS4 racing titles. Then, since those have "offline" access, its 60$ -for those- for the next 10 years (or until PS4 unit dies if you dont buy another one).

I am afraid you are totally wrong.Go to their site, click the sign up option and see the prices. And we were talking about the "base" platform yes?If not then I will say what many people say to justify the "lack" of tracks and cars in GTS:quality over quantity.

EDIT:its 15 cars and not 7.But either way got your point.

I am pretty sure for that too. That does not mean that I am wrong in your questions.

I figured out the answer via a GT Planet article, it's only in a handful of events in Mission Challenge.

To add fuel to the fire, since a simple question turned into a heated debate, after just playing some of the Super Endurance races in GT6 a few hours ago, I concur GT Sport is a step back for the series in every single area except graphics, car sounds and multiplayer Sport Mode matchmaking. GT Sport is a prologue that should've come out at the end of 2015 AT THE LATEST and be priced accordingly.

I agree, it's an amazing game. Can't wait to see the ways that it improves and develops in the future also.

.

Exactly how many cars and tracks do you get in the base Iracing package? Just curious.

I never said its an amazing game.IMO its a really fun game.Nothing more, nothing less.

15 cars/15 tracks (all laser scanned if I am not mistaken).

Which means it is coming for the rest of the game in all probability. If I had to guess, I would say that they are working on the AI's performance in the rain. That is still hit or miss in Pcars 2 and seems to be one of the more difficult aspects to get right.

Then we'll have to wait until GTS2 since AI is not good even in "clear" conditions..
