I just want to say that I´m sick and tired of all the people
that are saying stuff like "if you press a button at the right time you get the car you want"
So............here my words as I say:
IT IS COMPLETELY RANDOM!!!!!!!!

You're right, and it's been fairly well documented that it is randomly generated dependent upon the time you spend in the race.

We all know these tricks at least work 25% of the time.

Yes I know but people still keep jabbin about it!

OK, I'd like to start documenting peoples times and the awards they get. Over the weekend, I'm gong to run the Beginner GT world championship up to the 9th race. I'll race the 10th race multiple times, noting my total time at the end each race. I'll run a spreadsheet documenting the times and what car I'm awarded. I figure that wit ha few hundred runs at it, I can cobble a theory together. I'll make a thread on Deralta.net if anyone would like to contribute.

I've speculated that the award car position (in the roundabout) correlates with the time you spend in teh race. Judging on when the name of the track fades away at the beginning of the race (before the 3-2-1 countdown) and varying when I hit the Exit button, I've been able to manipulate what car I've been awarded.

Hopefully this will feed me enough info to document a pattern and kill this rumor once and for all.

I already killed it. I did 200 repeated skip-last-race/reload - 100 doing nothing and 100 pressing the X button.

One car was favoured 40% of the time doing nothing at all. One car was favoured 33% of the time doing nothing at all. Upon changing to hitting the X button when the shadow was under "chosen" car (I picked one of the other two, in order that any percentage change would be more noticeable) and bog all happened - well, the most favoured car went up to 42%, the second stayed at 33%, the third stayed at 17% and the fourth went down to 8%.

I think 200 attempts is statistically a large enough population.

Unless my "timing" sucks. Pfft.
