Its official, NA Release = Feb 22nd

It's about darn time an official release date is announced for the North American market. :) Now, all we need are some of these fixes planned for the PAL release (plus a few exclusive cars for us) and we're set. :D
 
Wasn't the latest released date supposed to be in march ? Maybe Enthusia scared the hell out of Sony USA so they decided to stop dragging their feet and " apply a heavier pressure on the accelerator ".
Good news, but why the hell do they have to release on tuesday? Can't they release the game on friday so we can play it during the whole week-end. Oh well,I still have 8 vacation days + 3 sick days left ...
 
You know, i wouldnt be surprised if the NA version gets the same AI upgrades as well as a few US cars added. SCEA dont tell us NA gamers crap, i mean SCEE has been givin out info for a while now.
 
I wish there was a clue about when the various pre-order sites are going to start shipping. It could be a few days before the 22nd :dopey: If I'm lucky.

Now to the point....... I approched my boss and told him im going to used 2 weeks of my paid vacation days. I will be off from Feb 21 and return to work on March7th. This will be my 3rd attempt at using these vacation days. Hopefully this time it is the official (official) release date. :D Ive been waiting to use these days since January 2004. :lol:

I'm still hoping they sell it in a PS2 package like they did for the Japanese launch. I'd like one of the new PS2s, but if it's not packaged with something cool I wouldn't be likely to buy one.
 
I can't say that I blame you for being skeptical.

Yet, I'm hoping to not be doing any studying that week for my classes. And my spring break is soon after so I'll have a whole week of play time non stop. :D.
 
I firstly need to get my bum outa the house and into a job, THEN I can book my day off ;-), Mind you, my birthdays the 11th March, so Ill prolly get GT4 then

YES!!! I was wondering when are they going to say the date. I just hope they don't change it... again :scared: Also, I was like aren't they suppose to release GT4 in the u.s. before Europe? Thats how they always done it.
 
Cool... I guess... ? I'm not really sure what to say, as I hope they're not rushing it, trying to get it here faster, and then leave out all the cool little new features they're implementing into the PAL release.
Anyone else have some more insight on this?
 
I wouldn't worry too much about SCEA's "track record" in regards to delays and such. Believe it or not, this is actually the first official date that SCEA has ever released. I'd call that a good sign.

Nice to know they've finally gotten off their asses and told us. I've still got my old pre-order, so I'm set. I just hope the girl at Gamestop who said it's "never coming out" is working that day... Have a little faith, toots. :)
 
can't take off work that day... Im already taking 2 days off that week to go to the auto show... damn. Oh well, ill take that wednesday off. :p
 
If the NA release is basically the J release, I'm going to hold out for the EU instead. I've waited this long, and besides, the functions in the EU release is something that should have been included in the first place. Maybe SCEJ will shell out another version and recall all the originals so they don't end up screwing all their J customers....ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaa. Of course they'd charge full price. And seeing as how I love collecting all the cars, not having those few will just piss me off. In fact, even if the NA release has special NA cars, I'll still probably take the EU version anyway. HAave your C6s, I'd rather take the Audi, Auto Union and Chaps. And I guess the 300 too.
