Do you have time to cancel your order? I tried getting MGS3 from them, and they didn't have it in until six days until after the release date. I got so mad, I went somewhere else. Be careful, they lie.

One thing to remember folks...Feb. 22nd is the SHIP DATE!...not every store is going to have the game on that day..some will more then likely get it the 23rd or 24th...Just depends on the store!

I say this just because I called the game store from where I pre-ordered my copy of the game to confirm that my name was on the pre-order list and when I asked them about the release date (Feb. 22nd) they said that was the shipping date and that they'll more then likely have it on the shelves the next day and maybe, based on the number of resevers, they'll get it on 2/22.

So, just don't forget to take this into consideration when you start tyring to figure out what date to NOT go to school or work but instead, stay home & play GT4!

I agree that there will be cars available in the PAL version that won't be available in the US version, but I also believe it will go the other way.

And if the Garage Battle addition is true to the PAL version, I see it very likely that it will appear in the US release as well.

But I could be wrong, as it's happened many times before, lol.

That article might not mean much... the author probably assumed there wouldn't be any extras in the NA version simply because SCEA didn't say anything in their release about it. Doesn't mean it won't be there.

The whole "ship date" thing is BS... that's just the excuse that stores use when they don't get the games on the release date. If you go digging through the archives at news sites like IGN and Gamespot, you'll see that most games, especially the big releases, usually ship a week or so ahead of the announced release date, and is on the shelf when the store opens on release day. Some of us just get shafted with stores that get their stuff a day late.

Take Best Buy, for example. I went to Best Buy the day.. it was either Halo2 or GTA:SA was released.. the store was chock full of them that very morning. No way in hell it was shipped that same day and arrived at the store twenty minutes later. It was on the shelf when they opened. Ship date, my ass.

Oh, and Manuel and Tha-Con... EDIT YOUR DAMN POSTS, BOTH OF YOU. I have absolutely no desire to side-scroll for the next hundred posts because of some fanboy that can't type properly.

Yes I agree about the 10 car thing.....if the US doesn't get something special after all of this wait, with no prologue, GT4 a few months late, and barely any demo's, we better get something. If not, it's ok, i'm just glad it's official this time. The article also didn't say anything about the other features the PAL version will have such as 2p garages....it never said it would, nor wouldn't include them in the American release...but this is too much speculation at this point. I'm just glad it's coming soon.

I don't know why people pre-order games. If there are no copies left in Best Buy #1, or Gamestop #1 etc there will be some in #2. Gran Turismo is popular, but not as popular as GTA or Halo. (HAH! Halo2.. what a flop.)

I agree on everything you said, especially the last sentence about post editing... I hate scrolling to the side.

I work at BB, and we had over 150 copies of Halo 2 before the release date. I was actually holding the game in my hand before it was suppose to be released. most big name games are shipped before the release date.

i really wish we'r not getting an English version of Chinese GT4... i have that already!..... i want those upgrades in PAL version!!... i want my garage!! extra cars are cool but not essential for me..

I'd take extra cars over 2 player garage anyday. Even though I would use the 2player garage all the time with my brothers.
