actually thats a common misconception, home schoolers have just as good of a chance as people who attend public and private schools, to get into college, you can go your entire life homeschooled and still get into college, and that has been done before to prove it as a fact.

Yeah I have a few friends who are homeschooled, and who are now in college...I was just kidding!

Well I live in mid America" and went around to all the local stores in my town,
all of them have GT4 down for FEB 22nd at least they all agree!!

Some of you guys are a little insane. I mean, does it really matter if you get the game on the 24th or 23rd as opposed to the 22nd? You will probably play thousands of hours over a period of a couple of years and yet one or two days makes that much of a difference. I'm not trying to bash anyone, just trying to understand the logic.
It matters to me. I would have driven all the way across town to my local GameStop fighting traffic the whole way on the 22nd just for them to tell me I wasted my lunch break, because they aren't selling the game until the 23rd.

I called this morning to confirm the sell date.

I've had mine on reserve since last August and went and paid it off today 👍

I also asked if they were expecting it on the 22nd or 23rd and they said they are expecting to get their shipment on the 22nd :)

You know whats funny - I read the review of GT4 in Game Informer today and their release date is March 14 still ..

Funny story...
I drove to gamestop today and paid for it in full. xD all I have to do is pick it up on Tuesday.

not a funny story.........
i called my gamestop in sacto, ca, and their not releasing until the 23rd *sniff* they said about houston being the home of gamestop so all thos stores would get them firs *sniff*

Not quite true.. I live only a few hours from Houston, and the GS here still gets their games a day late.

As for what the big deal is? It's an annoyance, really, nothing more. Frustrating to know that on the 22nd, I could just go to Best Buy and buy it first thing in the morning.. but instead, my fifty bucks is already sitting at a store that won't get them until the following day. Frustrating and annoying.

I haven't yet confirmed the sale date at my store.. I'm waiting for the phone call (which I believe is automated?), then I'll call the store and ask them. And then come Tuesday, I'll be calling them every half hour until they get it. They'll probably crack open the box as soon as they get it just to shut me up.

well, i hate to say i told you so... (but then, i told you so too late :P)

the fact is that preordering software doesn't have any benefits at all... unless you're the store riding the 50+ bucks for months before having to give anything in exchange, if it was hardware i would understand, as hardware sometimes depletes when they have manufacture issues and the demand is too high.
but for software, there's absolutley no reason to let a company ride on your 50+ bucks for months with out getting anything in return, the only thing that happens is that you will probably see the game in other stores before you get yours anyway.

Its security that it wont be sold out on opening day, well where I live anyways.

lol, you sound like they're gonna pick up and make off with your cash :) hehe but seriously, I know what you mean. Although, on the other hand, it could save you the trouble of having to go psycho looking for it on the day of release. What do you guys think? Gonna be hard to pick this up on opening day?

Where do you guys pre-order your games that requires you to lay down $50 up front? I use EB exclusively, as I live less than 10 miles from one. You don't pay a dime until you pick up the game there.

If you think that's crazy, then what about us nuts who went and bought the Japanese version so we could play seven weeks earlier? :dopey:

think of all the interest cash they make from people preordering games 2 years in advance when they could have just preordered a week before it came out. And in the case of 90% of the games out there, you don't need a preorder. GT4 is a big game, but I'm pretty sure there'll be plenty in stock.

But I get paranoid about stuff like that, I didnt' pre-order San Andreas, but there was still like 800 left in the store when I bought mine. And I'm a little bummed that I have to wait 'til the 23rd.

I think it will be difficult to pick up upon release, good thing I paid for mine last week ohhh yeahhhhh 👍

Well I preordered mine about a year and a half ago, put my 50 bucks down. Now I live an hour away from where i got my preorder so i went to gamestop and got a nother preorder. The clerk told me i could get a full refund on my preorder with my slip. So its not like you cant back out of it at any time. And at gamestop if you have the full amount paid, you dont have to wait in line like everyone else, you got vip treatment.

San Andreas is the only game I've ever had problems getting, had to wait a week for that one.

I had trouble tracking down vice city, san andreas was waiting for me at the store

I live in Longvalley NJ up on the mountain if anyone here knows where that is.
THeres a gamestop within walking distance... so that morning im gonna run down the mountain straight to the store. :) Or jack my dads car and race down it.
