So, anyway guys, back on topic:

It just hit me that this game is comming in less than a week. Realizing I am sooo close to driving sooo many cars on sooo many tracks just made me giggle like a little school girl. I think the reality of it all is sinking in. Nurb...La Sarthe....lots of BMW's...omg I cannot wait.

I have spring break the week after GT4 comes out and my GF asked me if I had any plans. I said "nope" and thought to myself "I will lock myself in my house and not come out until monday." wow this game is going to be fun!

I'll have the same reaction the day I get the phone call. I am literally going to scream as loud as I can when I get the phone call from GameStop / Software Etc. to pick up the game.

Wait for a phone call? Be there when the stores opens on Tuesday. If it isn't there, they will be able to tell ya if it will be there later in the day or the next day. I will be waiting outside my local Target store doors at 8am on Tuesday.

I have class at 9:00am on Tuesday...
What I can do, is in between classes on Tuesday, go back to the store (around 12:30-1:00pm NY time) and then I'll have a better idea as to when the game should be in the store. 👍

Don't let them fool you, MrktMkr. Overall, we pay very high taxes in Oregon, and the Democrats here are still trying to add sales tax on top of that. BTW, that's only the beginning.......

On the topic at hand, why does some stores have 2/23 as the release date? I saw some posts about how GameStop will get them a day late, because of shipping? That doesn't make any sense. All the retail stores I've seen gets the DVD/Games before the release date at their local retail store, so they can have the games on the shelves on the morning of the release date. Sometimes, midnight on the release date. This "excuse" by GameStop sounds fishy......

All I know is that there's a best buy next to a gamestop next to a target 3 miles from my house. One of them will have GT4 on the 22nd or they may all "spontaneously" combust.

well i just payed off my copy for gt4 (had only $10 down for it a year ago). from what the manager said at EBgames, 22nd pre-order customers can pick theirs up and 23rd it will be on display for sale.

whether this is bs or not, i'll have to wait and see. but i'd like to have my copy by the 22nd at least.

I hope it'll come out on the 22nd. The guy behind the counter told me that they won't get it in stores until the 23rd. I hope he is mistaken... I would be thorougly disappointed if I had to wait an extra day to get the game.

Guys.

SHIP DATE is the 22nd. That's when legions of UPS trucks arrive from the warehouse carrying crates of GT4 boxes. It takes some time to move those crates to their destinations, unload, unpack, and display them. The 22nd is the wholesale ship date, not the 'guaranteed to be on the shelves' date.

Some places may stay open late the 22nd if they get them early in the day. Some places are going to have them at opening on the 23rd. Some will be later than that.
