Its official, NA Release = Feb 22nd

Either way, whether the game is released the 22nd or 23rd, I'm getting mine on the 23rd. So i'm not worried about that issue and am happy that I will finally get a copy of GT4.
As for anyone who dislikes that we might not get the game on the 22nd, just be thankful that you don't live in europe

22nd around 7pm at my gamestop but its in a mall soo it closes at 9. like all the other new games i buy i get it on a wednesday :)

See, this is just like what bighap was saying about how his local gamestop is claiming the shipment of GT4 coming in after the store closes on 22nd.

I can see three possiblities here:

1. They are lying.
2. They are guessing(badly).
3. They have their own freight service, and shipments are being received, even after the store closes.

Anyone here work at game shops? How does the games come in? If it's UPS, FedEx, or somebody like that, there is no way delivery will be made late in the afternoon. Most receiving are done, before 11 a.m.

I don't work in a game store, but when I pre-ordered mine last Saturday, I was told that FedEx would be sending the shipment. They said to expect it on the 23rd, anywhere between 12-3pm NY time. In my experience with corporate mail etc. FedEx usually comes around mid-day anyway -- but I'm not sure whether it's going to arrive in stores the 22nd or the 23rd.

Anyway... it really doesn't matter to me whether the game comes out on the 22nd or the 23rd.

1. I have the 23rd off anyway, so I have all day to play.
2. It's been pre-ordered
 
Yep.. Doesn't matter to me neither.. Because Gt4 comes out March 10th for me =)
 
I don't plan on hearing about all sorts of GT fans camping out at Best Buys and stuff awaiting GT4. I got respect for the Unreal Tournament series, the Half-Life series, and maybe the Doom series as well. When their anticipated games came out, lots of fans awaited, camped out, and all that stuff. With all due respect, I don't think we'll see legions of fans waiting for stores to open with GT4 in the stores. And even if they were, I don't think many people will be fist-fighting each other for the last copy in the store. I'll bide my time and hope my mother either pays for it or gives me the money to buy it myself. I'm a fan, just not crazy for GT4. Besides, after my Thursday night classes are done next week, I'll be having happy dreams of GT4.

man.. watching a knife fight over GT4 would be awsome. or.. since street racing is popular up here, a downhill battle and the winner gets a copy. :dopey:

i've got no school tueseday -friday and my b-day is the 25th so next week is looking good. :)
the gamestop near me says they will have it by the afternoon of the 22nd.
 
Oh yea, we'll be seeing guys in crazy hektik driftmobiles doing sick 360 burnouts down an industrial for 10 flat seconds to get the ultimate prize of one copy of gt4 while the others look down in shame and get their cars smashed hopping over a bridge that was surprisingly hijacked in the middle of the night with cool bboys doing their uprocks to crazies to flare mix with airflare to a taunting pose.

God I love being sarcastic :rolleyes:

Different stores have different dates. Like my GameStop where I preordered it, it's going to be released on the 22nd. But at my local Best Buy it's hitting shelves on the 24th. See my point? ;)

its still released on the 22nd whether or not best buy has it.

I just came back from the mall from where I pre-ordered my copy & they (Gamestop) told me that the game is due to be received in their warehouse on the 22nd & then shipped out to all their stores the next day...yet another store (Fry's Electronics) has signs up stating 'GT4 - In Stores on Feb. 22nd'...So, I'm going to swing by Fry's on 2/22 to see if indeed they do have it and if so, pick it up there & then swing out to GameStop & get a refund for my pre-order.

Just wish there wasn't such a huge discrepancy among all the retailers but I guess this is to be expected.
 
I just reserved my copy at my local Gamestop. They said they'll have them ready at around 8-9PM tuesday, and will stay open until everyone that reserved theirs picks them up.

But the guy said it was coming out on the 23rd right? That's because that's what he heard from his store, when the store is carrrying them. If you don't get my point then i'm sorry but it's quite simple.
 
It's been released in Ottawa. A friend of mine visiting bought a copy at a local gamestore; he said there was a bunch on display to pick up. I hate him.
 
I just called a BestBuy in Atlanta and they just told me March 23rd????

Edit.... Nevermind, I called another BestBuy and was told I could pick up this Monday! The girl at that first store I called musta been just some dittzy broad.

They messed up. They probably meant to say February 23rd. ;)
