My local TRU said MAYBE today. They said it was coming via courier, and took my name and number. However, I expect I'm a ways down that list, so will call them back in a couple of hours.

If I get the game today, all this effort will have been worth it. If I don't, I'm going to be really pissed. I dragged myself out of bed early with a stinking cold, stood freezing outside my nearest retailer, only to find they didn't get it in as promised. The day has been downhill from there really.

today since im not able to get a copy of GT4 i decided to make a case for my
4G 20gig iPod out of a old sony sports walkman cassette player i tried to keep the radio but it didn't fit without it being taken out so i took cupboard lining "foam crap" and make a case for it by making layers and layers of the stuff inside and making a cut out of the ipod works great looks great since the cassette part has a lock on it all i have to do now is drill a hole for the headphones and glue the layers together and it will all be done

Anyways I just called the closest EB to me to see if since I preordered it if I could get it early. They said no. People who preordered it will get it the same day as everyone else which wont be til tomorrow. Damnit.

Great, we in N.A. won't get the nice tick manual and the special edition case like the Japanese edition. The strategy Guide sold separately is just a book accounting all the tracks and cars and the car prizes, which is pretty useless if you ask me... oh well, I'll pick it up after work.

w00t, I just called my EBGames and they have it in! So, in 8 minutes I'm going to pick up my copy!

Bad thing is though, I probably won't be able to play it until about 9pm. I've gotta meet with a friend to write a collabrative article for my school newspaper, and then I have homework to do. Real life is pwning me.

First of all the game is gorgeous. I've played for about an hour now. I'm still waiting for my dad to return to the office from field work so I can head there and hook it up to the hi-def TV.

First of all, it allows you to transfer your licenses from GT3. Awesome feature. Saves time, and let's you dive right into it.

It ALSO lets you transfer up to 100,000Cr from a GT3 save to your current GT4 file. This is phenominal. I haven't checked if it actually removes the money from your GT3 save or just copies the amount over (can't be bothered to load my GT3 disc when GT4 is already running!).

The opening cinematic is beautiful. The game looks pretty on a standard TV (can't wait for my hi-def TV!!). I also can't wait to try the wheel I bought. But I'm gonna wait and take it to the office rather than open it up and then have to repackage it in an hour.

My first car was an ~15,000Cr Subaru Impreza Sedan. Bought used. I ran through the Sunday cup races and placed first place in each on my first attempt with EASE. It is the beginner race though. I'm hoping for some competition as I move up through the races.

About to kill somebody, the EB that I reserved my game at doesnt have it and doesnt know when they will get it today; yet another EB 10 minutes away uptown has it in stock but wont take a reservation from another EB store...

This is pissing me off. A lot of people seem to be getting lucky with EB when all they can do is say "tomorrow" when I call them. Usually in a surly voice. (Don't start on about them being harassed. I worked retail for ten years. There is no excuse for the attitude.)
