Actually i also have a problem with this.
Now, i didn't complain about premiums before(maybe the choice in cars), as they didn't have those cars already in the game. But since it is a standard being upgraded, i am bothered that we have to pay for it, as it leaves the door open for other standards getting upgraded, and we have to pay for it when it's already in the game.
If it's a new car i understand, but as its a standard to premium, it bothers me, as you would think these cars would be free in the updates.

Until someone looks at the code, we can only assume it's a new car that's been modeled from the ground up but wasn't finished in time.
At least, that's what I'm gonna tell myself before I sleep at night.

What I'm curious about is, if it is in fact the same car, how will it be inserted into the game? Will the standard version be "removed" from the car list (so to speak) and everyone who owns one automatically have it converted to a Premium?
Or will they leave both knocking around the game?

That's another question i was about to ask. I'm assuming they keep both, but if it is the exact same car, what is the point of a standard model?
Maybe the XJR-9 has new livery. Just saying. Seriously though the Leaf? Why???
In this instance, it appears that the answer is "to get the freakin game out the freakin door". Remember the uproar when the release date was pushed back?
Yes. Since they have removed the Silk Cut sponsor (Why? I don't know). Maybe the other Castrol livery, I like it more anyhow.

I love the car. A Group C beast. this & the Beetle have me buying the pack day one.
Now if only there was the 24 Hours of Daytona....![]()
Also, we very well could get a new livery. That'd certainly add incentive to upgrade to the Premium.
fifomaniakYes, it's the same car. But it's more than "upgrading". The quality of Premium cars is so much better, that they probably had to do the car from scratch anyway.
Some Standard cars deserve to be Premium, like this one, but we can leave milions of GT-R's and MX-5's away. Just a few most important versions to be Premium, like we don't have the MX-5 NB Premium yet or the first GT-R from 1970's, but leave the rest behind. That's my opinion.
Didn't the Le Mans winning XJR-9s had the LM designation while the car that competed every other event was referred to without the LM?

We've already bought the standard XJR9. I'm wondering whether the DLC XJR9 would be counted as a new car. If so, it's quite expensive! It's better to just change our current XJR9' standard model to the premium one.
First thing that Came to My Mind too.
It would sell like hotcakes! Who doesn`t like Herbie![]()
