I am wanting to go through and win these events but I don't have "compatable" cars in my garage so my question: which cars should I go and buy to win these three (70s, 80s, 90s) easily for under 250k? If thats possible.

70: Honda 1300 Coupe 9 S '70
80: Toyota MR2 G-Lim SC, Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex '83 or Toyota MR2 1600 G '86
90: Mazda MX-5 Miata SR-Limited, MR2 Spyder '99 or Nissan Sileighty

You can try'em out, stock or with a light tune.

70s - Nissan Bluebird 1800 SSS '79. Buy one used for around 5,000Cr. Should win most races stock, most common of the used 70s cars in the historic lot. Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR '73 is a better bet than the Honda Coupe IMHO, since it has the same power, but is FR unlike the FF Honda.

80s - as hispeed said, the first 2 of those 3 should do nicely, very cheap too. 👍 The Non-supercharged MR2 I'm dubious about though, without modifications it's not fast enough to keep up.

90s - Miata was very tricky for 200 points stock, MR2 is more powerful and could probably keep up a little better. Otherwise a used Honda Prelude, the '96 SiR is a a good bet for about 160-ish stock points.

With the cars mentioned here, you should be able to beat all 3 championships for under 40k, nevermind 250k!

Just finished 90s with MX, now on to 70s....

Also, is there a thread dedicated to this type of "car recomendation" question because I am sure to have similar question soon regarding the European events.

For the 70's races use the 1979 Honda Civic.
You can also us it in the Civic races. Nice car to drive with some slight upgrades.
It will get 200 points in both series with the right tuning.

Come see us at the Club 200 stock car thread. There's a clicky link in my signature.
hispeed is the founder, I'm a longtime member and contributor and Uncle Harry joined us recently. Though we specialise in producing a list of high A-spec point gathering vehicles in stock form, if you look at the comprehensive list we have of races, car entries, and points gained, you should be able to decide if you're capable of emulating the feats of our member in the stock vehicles, or, if you're not particularly bothered by A-spec points, it should at least give you an idea of which cars to buy and modify to enter the events. ;)

Hope that helps, and if you do manage a stock 200pt race, let us know, and we'll put you up on the Club 200 list! 👍

I think I used Nissan Z - cars appropriate for each era. I believe I used a 280Z, and the early and late 300ZX vehicles. If I remember correctly, I found them competitive standard, and that was early on when I was quite hopeless (Nowadays I've elevated my status to significantly untalented). Therefore you can probably win all three series for under 50K, never mind 250K each.
