OK so let me clear this cos i dont know if im getting this right:
We run 50 laps race, all laps clean and fast and for example on lap 45 we touch the wall - so we have to go to pit at this lap - am i right ? and by mega coincidence at lap 46 we touch wall again (for example AI car hit you in back cos as you probably noticed they dont see that you are in front of them and that you are braking) - does it mean that we have to go to pit at this lap too ? am i right ? Hmm its good but might be a little bit hardcore in some particular moments of race...
And once again please - how do you propose to run the lotery of cars and teams - i presume that you will do it in RL ? :D
That post looks a little bit silly but i want to have everything clear before start...
And sorry for poor english :/
 
Any penalty is fine by me ... even for hitting a wall (like described above ... you'd have to pit anyway), but getting the penalty because an AI rams you from behind? I've been there too often and it's just not fair. :(
 
PENALTIES - my experience with testing it - it works just like the ralley events, light touching does not give you the penalties and the forced pit thing is neat, the comp. takes you over when you get close to the pits and "forces" you to pit (drive through) :crazy:

Forced pitting i think is the most realistic of the choices (repair) :scared:
In the races it prob. won't be used anyway. A lap or two in and you prob. have passed the AI anyway and won't see them again except the back markers on certain tracks.
 
Ok first of all the JGTC 2005 Pre-Season thread is up. Read the *WARNING* pretty carefully because I'm dead serious.

Nope dude, when you have the "FORCE PIT" option on your car will pit automatically at the end of the incident lap. Oh and I think some people in here are really excessive in their comments with the AI ramming your ass. Ok it happens once in a while but hell I drive against cpu cars pretty often and close to never this take place. You don't get a penalty if you are the one getting rammed from behind, only if you bump an AI or the wall hard enough.

Nope, not late yet. I need both drivers name and racing class. But there's a possibility you guys won't team up if you are two top drivers. You guys are making the teams but I won't accept two rockets to pair together and rule the world. This is only to make this Series the closest possible between the teams and so everyone can enjoy. Waiting for your infos. 👍

Awesome. I'm gonna go for GT500 and Teamlosiracer will go for GT300. His name is Peyton and mine is Kenny. I *just* got promoted into D1 for WRS and he *just* got promoted into D2, so none of us are top drivers. If we are forming team names yet I guess we will go with KPM - Kenny Peyton Motorsports. Do you need anymore info?

Teams will only be finalized after the pre-season challenge but I'm taking notes for now. Waiting for your rocket times in the challenge. :sly:

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut, in the meantime I'm not going to make someone feel uncomfortable by putting them in the position of declining teaming up with me ... I shall wait for offers.

What will happen if we have uneven numbers of drivers in the classes? If it is necessary, I am willing to take a place in GT500; I could run the pre-season race for both if you want me to switch.

No worries for now, we'll see first who sends a time for the challenge and who doesn't. After the slackers are out we'll see how many drivers we are left with. :lol:

I would prefer that everyone wait for the results from the preseason race before they start picking teams. It seems now most people want to pick their friends (netfriends?). It should mostly be about the results so that the teams are even.

Just a quick question...are the rules ever going to be set as "Final", and can you let everyone know when they are?

Its not a problem (that may have come off a little harsh,didnt mean it that way), just wanted to know, so I print a hard copy of the rules for myself.👍
