I would prefer that everyone wait for the results from the preseason race before they start picking teams. It seems now most people want to pick their friends (netfriends?). It should mostly be about the results so that the teams are even.

I agree, I think that is how eatsviper4lunch plans on doing it anyway.

alright..but im in, i dun know if he will be able to post his application..cuz he asked me to do it for him

Well drivers not even posting in the Series threads don't really have their place here. If people can't even take responsabilities and post by themselves to say they are interested then they don't deserve my time. Anyway, deadline is tomorrow to submit times and no times equals no racing in this series.

I gotta be honest, he's rough, he's abrupt ... but I like this eatsviper4lunch :)

Yeah I'm really strict when it comes to deadlines. I hate slackers, dealt with some in the past while running other games leagues and I just can't stand it anymore. I mean submitting a time should always be a motivation not something you want to get over with and been pressured all the time. If that's the case well you're at the wrong place and you should move on to other things. With people showing interest and motivation I'll be one of the nicest guy out there, but loose my time and laugh in my face and boy you're in for a bad day. You seem to be on the good side so no need to worry. :p

eatsviper4lunch
Send when ever you want, just respect the deadline that's all I'm asking for. :sly:
Alright. Its 10:14PM right now, and I usually don't play GT4 after 7, just a habit, unless I've been playing before then.

This is why I like the Online Forums. Even when I get bored with GT4, the Online Forum keeps the game fresh.

Will have the time in by the deadline for sure! 👍

DLRgian
so when is ur site gonna be up?

lol let's see first if we can start something solid before loosing some time on a website. If all runs good with enough dedicated drivers after a few rounds I will start to work on it. 👍

tru dat

I try to be just as respectful as the next guy, but to be honest, sometimes the level of consonance in the WRS forums is sickening. It almost makes me want to be a jerk just to shake people up and stop all this "nice job, congrats on your podium" stuff.

Viper's just like, "shut up and read the post."

...okay, maybe not quite that drastic, but he's on the ball and doesn't take crap. :)

RTFM, noob!

Not this crap again...OK....so what is the problem with congrats to someone who runs well in a given week, obviously you did not read the post that CFM put up in WRS about having a little bit of respect for fellow racers?

Maybe you should read this:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=64903

...And this in particular:

As a final note, there is a lot of animosity between a lot of the veterans and a small group of drivers who are new to the WRS. The main point that the veterans (like myself) are not happy about is the way the tone of the WRS has changed since GT4 has come out. PAY ATTENTION HERE: We are not upset that there are new people here with different opinions, or new drivers that are faster than us, etc. What upsets us is the lack of sportsmanship.

Examples of such:
Not having to reimind winning drivers to congratulate others.

Sorry,Viper, I know this isnt the right thread for this, but he wanted to bring up the WRS in this,so I thought he needed a little reminder what this was ALL about.
I apologize for that.

Not sure if I'm really answering like that... Maybe I'm straight forward sometimes but I never lack of respect while passing my message. But geez it's only a thing of motivation most of the time, people will come and ask questions already answered in your previous posts. Some are just too lazy to take the time to read what others have to say and it's only their little questions that are important and everyone should read. A forum is a place to share your opinion but also take the time to listen to what others have to say. It's like some are sending times not following the way you asked for because they decided their way was the best. It just doesn't work like that in life, you think when you're going to work at your job you will always do things the way you want. Hell no, you follow the layed rules and if you don't well you'll end up taking the door.

Anyway about your WRS thing, not really sure what's wrong with congratulating the winners. It just seems like a normal thing to do. Maybe some are overexaggerating things and it turns into sucking up and that's what Soyfu doesn't like...not sure.

Hey there eatsviper4lunch

Question for you...since I'm a backup driver (for now that is), would you want me to submit a Qualifying time? Sorry if this is a bit late, considering the deadline for such information is fast approaching.

Thx-

Yeah you're right nowhere I talked about the backup guys. For now you are not required to send a time but for sure if you want to know where you stack up in the pack you can send your times in. 👍

Like I said in my previous post,I apologize for bringing that up in here, and it was probably an abrupt outburst on my part.

No,in my opinion you dont exactly answer like that....thats the only trouble with not actually talking to people "In person", some people interpret,or take things the wrong way.It happens to everyone, its just the nature of these things.

That was more or less my point, I dont see anything wrong with congratulating the winners, either. They (WE) ALL put in our very best effort, and if you would ever see the results from one of the WRS races, you would see just how close the competition is there (Just like I am sure it will be even more so here..at JGTC 👍 ), so everyone really deserves the win/podium/top 10,20, whatever...the fact is...we all race hard, and we are all close competitors, and there is also a close-knit atmosphere,if you will, there.

I am with you there,as far as being straightforward, and I have yet to see you have a lack of respect for others.

As far as the comment that Soyfu made about it being "sickening" ,and "stopping all this congrats on your podium",and stuff like that...that just pushed my buttons a little.

You may be right,eatsviper4lunch,about him(Soyfu),not liking it if it turns into sucking up,but I myself never really see that happen. In fact, it is encouraged (as it should be just a natural thing in any form of racing), to congratulate the top finishers, and the ones that get promoted to the faster Divisions.

Heck, about 99% of the time, EVERYONE is congratulated on their run,no matter where you finish.Even the podium finishers congratulate everyone else on their run

Its just good sportsmanship, and shows respect for your fellow racers.

I think you agree with me here.

Once again, sorry for bringing this up in the JGTC thread,I just didnt want to see something like this being carried over from somewhere else, that doesnt have anything to do with the JGTC series.Im looking forward to this!

By the way, what do you think of some of the WRS drivers so far? This should really be interesting!

Ill be turning my time in a little later this afternoon.

And @ Soyfu: I apologize for coming off a little harsh back there,I was just a bit steamed at the time,I just dont want any of this (or anyone for that matter),start off on the wrong foot here.👍
Hope were cool,now.

Thanks for your time,
Rob

SO when you take the podium, you don't mind if I flip you the bird? :p
Hey! Show some respect. :)
