JGTC S1 Season Series

Can I knock you off the podium with my ASL ARTA Garaiya then?

Maybe give unsporting press interviews post race?

haha, yes!

Actually, a lot of people have been complaining about how domesticated NASCAR has gotten. It used to be, that after pulling a bone-head move on the track, someone would be getting punched after the race (or at least have the fear of possibly getting assualted).

Now, all the big-money sponsers have their drivers on short leashes. They can't do or say anything with much emotion for fear that the sponser's driver would get some negative media attention. Race drivers are generally pretty hot-headed animals. Having them all be so nice to each other kind of irks me.

Though, recently, there's been some lashing out against one of the rookies that keeps crashing into people. :)

In other news...

The GT300 cars just look so much cooler than the GT500's.

I'm not a huge NC fan ... in so much that I watch it, but I don't know the name of the drivers, car numbers and different series (so forgive me here) ... but I was watching the All Star race some weeks back ... the one where two cars were coming into the final stretch and the 2nd place guy ... 'jostled' the lead car to the point of spinning it off ... I remember thinking "Maaaaaan, I'd be peed off if he did that to me!" and sure enough, you see him STEAMING mad, jumping out of his car and a nice little altercation results.

I'm very surprised that doesn't happen more often :p

@eatsviper4lunch

I believe that weight penalty for qualification is more bad than good, because the reward of 1 or 2 points not worth the penalty (and loss the points in race)

I think that penalty must be for race positions only.

But it's only my opinion, you are the boss 👍

Did the real JGTC cars carry the penalty weight during qual? I think the rules should follow the real series regulations.

What he is saying is, it may not be worth the 1 or 2 points if it means you get extra weight penalties because of qualifing. By all means run qualifing with your allocated weight but you can only gain or lose weight in races, qualify has no effect on your weight.

At least thats how i interpreted it and this is the case i support also.

Weight penalties only applied for racing not qualifing.

So we all run this qualify with stock weight and run the race with stock weight, then the cars who get extra weight will run the next qualify with that extra weight and run that race with the extra weight. If more weight is needed then its added after that race, then we run the 3rd qualfiy with the extra weight again.

Qualify 1 1100kg
Race 1 1100kg (added extra 20kg)
Qualify 2 1120kg
Race 2 1120kg(added extra 30kg)
Qualify 3 1150kg
Race 3 1150kg

Final verdict will be given in the Round 1 thread. Yes the penalty weight you receive comes into play for the next round only.

This may have been covered elsewhere in the thread - apologies if it has - but are we allowed to discuss sector times (not final) for qualifying laps?

The way I work no sector times nothing will be allowed. Geez I have really build a climate of fear or something, people are always apologizing for no reasons all the time.  I guess my method did somewhat succeeded.

Hmm for me one thing is still not clear.
In car topic eatsvipers added weight penalty or HP penalty to some cars - so that penalty is constans for all times and in addition to that penalty, comes pealty after qualifications run each week ? am I right ?

The stats ajustments I made are not penalties, they are only to even up the cars. Those figures will become the default ones you will start the season with. Then after penalties will come into play.

Hello Race Adminstrator,
just heads up. I upped my hp by 4% like you had indicated. It shows 505 hp. when I view my replay it lists it as 506 hp. I just thought I would give you a heads up in case this is the problem. Thanks, lovin' the Takata!

also, did you get the pm i sent you?

Mine did that, also speedy...I told eatsvipers about it, and he said that it was fine,as long as the settings screen says whatever hp you are supposed to said it at, so its cool:tup:

Another thing to regulate is the tyres that AI must carry, it depends of the tyres with which you enter in the race (but you can change them in quick tune window)

This has already been taken into consideration, no worries. :) All will be explained in the Round 1 Race thread.

jump_ace was looking to join, but he thought it was full ... he posted in the now defunct (?) F1 thread looking for non-WRS entertainment. Zoxxy, you fast bugger, you could definitively find yourself a partner there!

Hear, hear!
Jump_ace PM'ed me, and now we are a team *kisses*
I'll leave the car choice to jump_ace. I got my 2 mill ready to spend! 👍 :D

Edit: I just scummed trough the car list, but I couldn't find the Esso Ultraflo Supra. :boggled: Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a JGTC car. isn't it?
