 To Eat's ... for all the work that this takes

Another of the tracks that I like, as per usual, I'm not quick either :dopey:
May give this a run in a bit ... see where I'm at compared to the pole of S1

👍 Good luck to you all :) ... let's see if we can find a 4th winner in the 300 class

Oh and just to add, only 7 teams left in the championship. Full-timers drop out since the start are :

jump_ace
east
holl01
Filizola

This fawked the teams for :

oldphart
hOt6o4bOi
IcemanGER

Coolness. I had a go this morning with -1% weight, and it felt CRAPPY. The powerful cars are going to have an advantage this week me thinks... Driving around on RSS tires on this track with this tiny bit of power just feels icky. I'm used to driving around this track with much less grip, well, less grip per amount of power anyway. I think I'm going to have to stick some RS tires on the rear and keep the RSS tires on the front. We'll see. So far it just feels like a bogged down car, glad to see I dropped another 20kg, that's for sure.

Usually one of my good tracks, but I like less grip and more mid-engine to be fast here... :) Will start doing some more qualifying tonight probably. 👍

Ok so what do we do about the teams championship guys??? Now that some full-timers are gone it pretty much screws it all. Some people just don't seem to understand the requirements before signing up for something...and quite frankly it's pissing me off. We are left with 7 teams...that's if nobody drops again until the end. People who are gone and had scored team pts are now making things uneven in the teams championship.

Do you want the team standings to be recounted from R1 but only including the current active teams? We keep it like that with some points being stolen by drop outs?

Tell here all your ideas. I need some input.

If there's a GT500 guy who is in need of a teammate because his previous mate dropped out, I think I can be here enough to at least make some sort of an appearance each round... Not necessarily an all out appearance each time, but definitely better than nothing.

Recounting points with only the current teams would probably be the best thing to do... PITA, but yeah.

:sly: Awesome. Done with the major time shavings, now it's just down to the hundreths and thousandths to find. Running the RS tires on back helped a bit. I almost want to try RMs on the back! But that'd probably be too detrimental in braking and if I hit any curbing(instant spin!). Happy I'm this far along this soon though.

had a dozen lap dash last night on my old settings, and broke the lap record comfortably, and seeing as i have a little less weight i should be able to get some more time off...

Time for me to step up to the plate, and get some laps in @ GV.

This used to be one of my fav tracks in GT3, but the changes made for GT4 make it have a different feel.
Nothing I can put my finger on, and be specific about. It just feels like I have to learn the track all over again.

Ah well,

Neil

Pardon me while I get back to Eats' ?
He's got a very valid point - there are only 7 teams left :nervous:

Ok, granted - I'm one of the ones that was left flapping in the breeze because my teammate chose not to run in the series.

Granted, it pisses me off to no end, seeing that not only did he leave me hanging - after promising to uphold his end - but has threatened the vitality of the whole ! - never mind destroying the super challenge of watching him and Curtis over the season :grumpy:

So now what ? Push me back into the part-time drivers ? Because someone can't uphold their word ? Put me with someone that has lost a 300 driver ? Is that fair to the other teams ? I may not be tearing up the division, but I've been consistantly scoring points.

Truth of the matter is - I don't see how that can be fair to the other teams - nor can I see putting me out of the run for the Championship because of someone elses inaction being fair to me.

Maybe it comes from being so old - shaking my head - maybe it comes from being ex-special forces - all I know is that when a man (use the term lightly here) gives me his word - I expect him to uphold it. How is Eats' suppose to feel ? Here, he bust his ass, putting together this whole thing - has to deal with all the "other b.s." of our lives - and still try and race competively.

The comittment to this series was very upfront - to some - me at least - my word, my comttment - to Eats', to this series - is the only thing that has kept me here this long.

The teams that are left - yes you - need to think about what is fair for those of us that have been cast aside in their shamless acts. What is fair to you ? - The "Boss" has asked, and yet I've seen nothing in here yet, why ? This was suppose to be a "Team" Championship. The big debate about the part-time drivers stealing points - remember that ? Well, now we've got more of a problem. If we, those without teammates - are put into that catagory - is that fair to us ?

Be a man, step up !
Tell me, Tell Eats'
what are we suppose to do ?

We are here for the fun, to play JGTC.

Personally, I think we should stay with the ones we have in.
Why should those who saw themselves without a team mate be left out?

Just form new teams with the ones we still have and re-count every individual points of each of the pilots from the begining.

If you would count only the new formed teams points starting now I believe no one would like or want that.

For the ones who stay, let's just have fun with the ones who stay.

Agreed, the drivers left without a partner should have the oppertunity to pair up with another driver....with all their combined points. There really is no other fair way for the now lone drivers that commited to this series. If their combined points puts the new team in first place....oh well, it will work out over the remainder of the series...it's still early. Like jctraduz mentioned we're here to have fun and a good part of that fun is the opportunity to make a run for the series championship, the lone drivers deserve that opportunity just as much as anyone.

Here, Here!

Established teams, stay as they are!

Lone driver's should be paired up, as fairly as possible. If they want to be paired up, that is. There still may be drivers who wish to remain part-time.

This could be done either by Eats, with the same method as he used at the start of the season, or by plain and simple PM-PM discussions between the drivers.

Points should then be worked out for each new team, and let the standings fall where they may.

This is a difficult issue. My own opinion is that I would leave it to Eats to decide the correct solution. Perhaps there might be a possibility of somehow combining a default alternate team member, who actually drives with an intact team, and that driver's points would be combined with the driver who has lost his/her partner.

Example: Someone in the GT500 class loses his/her partner from the GT300 class. An appropriate alternate partner is selected from the GT300 class, that competitor having driven with his/her official teammate from the beginning. The scoring of that alternate partner is then combined with the competitor's from the GT500 class who has lost his/her teammate so that it is as if the driver losing the teammate has actually had the alternate teammate all along.

This would mean that the selected alternate was driving as a teammate with two teams, and might have two chances to finish well in the championship.

Or............

I will keep it up to Ev4l, as a lone full time driver! He does a great job and will find a fair way to resolve this issue. I'm OK with what ever needs to be done.

So far what should take place is :

1- Joining a GT500 (hotboi) and a GT300 (oldphart or Iceman) to have a minimum of 8 teams.

2- Try to find an active GT500 driver and move him to full-time to fill the 9th team.

3- Remake a team's pts system distribution with either 8 or 9 teams, depending on #2.

4- Remake the standings from R1 with the 8-9 final teams.

If you are a GT500 driver and want to run full-time please let me know. List of possible guys is :

VTRacing
DRIVEN -USA-
Mr_Nissan

just put in my session today

wonder if its good for pOle

hehe, highly doubt it... but it was to the maximum of the cars potential

lmao, I was just about to go put in my Quallifying run when I realised I had been kicked out of the series for some reason  Oh well

don't worry, unless i break both arms and both legs, i wont be missing any races this season... as for my time, i hit my target for qualifying so time submitted...

I don't see what is funny. Signing up for full time means that, you have to qualify every round and race every round, it's simple as that. At the very least every race.

When you don't, the teams points system is destroyed, and you leave your teammate hanging on the outer. Which isn't nice to anybody, and probably wasn't the wisest thing to do when your teammate is the race admin.

As it says here.

*IMPORTANT* If my teammate quits on me again this season I will murder someone.

I'd watch my back if I were you....

Well actually I gave up full time and asked to become a part time driver which Eats agreed to let me do, and now for no apparent reason i've been kicked from the entire season, the funny part is I couldnt care less.

maybe you still can play as a part time? i thought you had changed to part time... we sure need some GT500 guys... i suggest you talk to viper and explain the situation...👍

EDIT: just saw the last post, but still...

The middle sector between turns 6 and 10 is a lot different from GT3. Personally I prefer the new configuration, it's much more technical and requires a lot of subtle control and skill to make it through quickly without upsetting the car :)

so, in the first post says no ilegal shots, i assume i can use all paved areas that are either tarmac or curbs and concrete, just like GTRP´s database and BC events? just to make sure i can use all the track before putting a new session...

I'm using the rumble strips as track limit. The only line I'm ignoring is the white line on the left before the bridge...

Me too... Wouldn't feel right using all of that runoff area.
