@BigMackAttack - Thank you for your apology. Your original post did come across as being quite "jealous" to be honest. I really did not place any forethought into my thread title and I think that the only reason it draws that attention is because motoring/cars/motorsports is still (and probably will always be) a male dominated scene. If this was a knitting circle and a guy popped up and said, 'hey, just a guys knitting patterns', I really don't think it would be such a big deal that a gender was expressed in a post title
Good news though! I managed to repair the force feedback on my wheel - I borrowed a soldering iron and reattached the power socket prongs back onto the circuit board inside the unit, it worked a treat (I suspected that was the problem as the socket had felt loose for a while)... am back on the road
