Thanks for the comments everyone - I am really quite pleased with how the 'standard' cars came out in this batch... Glad you liked them.

@Elstro - indeed, the smaller cars are great fun on a tight circuit :)

@s12ken - well, having waited through several incarnations of GT for Ferraris to appear it would be rude not to buy one from time to time ;)

@RikkiGT-R - Yeah, bold indeed... I just thought it was silly that they sat in the garage unused (though some of them will return there to gather dust lol)

@ceiling_fan - I just love that Focus, especially in orange :)

I have gotten to test the Unwanted cars as well and they are indeed huge fun.Great Update Always nice to see the "other" cars so to speak :D

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with BigMackAttack.
I have to say, she did make nice shots, especially the last Golf one, it's a beauty.
But, BigMackAttack has got a point, I wouldn't get any replies either if I'd post a shot like that.

As promised here are some new shots - all are standards as I work my way through my garage test driving every car I have...

Hope you like them and are not offended by the thread title. The title was just entered from the top of my head with no forethought or malice and I apologise most sincerely if it offends, although I cannot be held responsible for any reaction to it based on individual insecurities, jealousy or a man sausage the size of a maggot :odd:

Ah... the rat-tat-tat of the 2CV around the streets of London
GT5c_2cv1.jpg

I probably won't be driving this again
GT5c_2cv2.jpg

I must have won this Mazda 323F at some point
GT5c_323f1.jpg

I can't imagine buying a car with such rampant oversteer
GT5c_323f2.jpg

This 'Vette was quite a beast - but one that was easily tamed

The beauty of driving every car I have - irrespective of size or looks...
GT5c_Alpha1.jpg

...is that I can stumble across a real gem
GT5c_Alpha2.jpg

This old Alfa only had 3 gears but it was a real joy to drive
GT5c_Alpha3.jpg

Beautifully balanced

Unlike the Alpine, which I did not enjoy at all

I was quite disappointed with the handling of my DB9

I was mental enough to take the old Beetle out on Nordschleife

I think a 14 minute time was not too shabby in it

I was really surprised by this Buick - such power!

Ah... The Celica

...and that strange Dome concept thing

Another concept - I can't remember what it is called, there are so many of them

This Jag' is supposed to be quite a nice handling ride - comparable to the M5
GT5c_Jagsome1.jpg

Not sure what Jeremy Clarkson had been smoking the day he came up with that idea
GT5c_Jagsome2.jpg

Still - it did make a dramatic picture at the tyre wall
GT5c_Jagsome3.jpg

...and across the line
GT5c_Jagsome4.jpg

This Mazda Kusabi concept handled surprisingly well
GT5c_Kusabi1.jpg

Though I am not sure how they managed to work out the physics of a 'concept'

I had to buy this when I saw it - I raced it to death in GT4

This old, but speedier, Alfa was a real treat

GT5c_Sileighty4.jpg

Sadly that will be it for a while - I need to try and repair my wheel as the force feedback has died and driving without it is really horrid...

Hope you enjoyed the pictures of the standards :)

Mega Update .Like that You shoot and review cars all the Time Favorite set will Probably be the Legacy.Keep it up 👍

I've come to apologise for my post on page 1. I'm sorry that I ruffled some feathers with my comment. I was probably only angry or jealous that this photo album got tons of views right off the bat while mine released about the same time, and only got 5 views. But I think my point is still valid. If this thread wouldn't have had the word "girl" in the title, it would have gotten far less views. That is a fact, almost un-argueable. But once again, I apologise for my comment that came across as hostile and sexist.

although I cannot be held responsible for any reaction to it based on individual insecurities, jealousy or a man sausage the size of a maggot :odd:

But, now, come on guys. There have been many low blows obviously aimed at me in this thread. Lets be civil.

Nice 👍

I enjoy your updates. I put titles like "Ferrari 458 Italia. Meh" whereas you write little captions that make me chuckle. :D

Some sweet shots of some sweet Standarts. It's like watching Top Gear, but less spectacular. (the cars i mean, the shots are ok)

Thanks for the comments everyone...

@sems4arsenal - Thank you, I'm working my way through my collection so expect more soon

@NBDESIGNZ - Thank you so much, that means a lot coming from a photomode god like yourself :)

@RikkiGT-R - I'm pleased to make you chuckle :)

@Ghertel - Too kind, but thank you :)

@Chikane - Thank you, I always value comments

and finally...

@BigMackAttack - Thank you for your apology. Your original post did come across as being quite "jealous" to be honest. I really did not place any forethought into my thread title and I think that the only reason it draws that attention is because motoring/cars/motorsports is still (and probably will always be) a male dominated scene. If this was a knitting circle and a guy popped up and said, 'hey, just a guys knitting patterns', I really don't think it would be such a big deal that a gender was expressed in a post title ;)

Good news though! I managed to repair the force feedback on my wheel - I borrowed a soldering iron and reattached the power socket prongs back onto the circuit board inside the unit, it worked a treat (I suspected that was the problem as the socket had felt loose for a while)... am back on the road :)

Don't care whether your girl or not you have awesome pics :)
Love the captions 👍
That GTi was well awesome by the way, looks so real.

Got to Ask since Your gallery has a lot of Standards ,Did you see and Improvments since 1.06 that indicates the level of Detail of Standard cars has improved ?

@sems4arsenal - I have definitely noticed an improvement in the reflective qualities of the standards, they look less plastic now but I am yet to see any other difference...

Another picture update - the standards were mostly captured prior to the 1.06 update (except maybe a couple of them)...

I own a 206SW in metallic black in 'real life' so I just had to get this...
GT5d_2061.jpg

The nearest thing but equally rubbish lol

But the texture quality is disappointing

I didn't cut the corner to cheat, honest, some clever pre-1.06 AI driver swiped my rear and sent me careening over the grass, I lost 3 places

But soon made them up

I thought the handling was almost as bad as the texture resolution!

The old Mini Marcos was fun though

As was the Mini

Paprika - it sounded like a nice colour to have

Just a shame the car was quite uninspiring

As was this Toyota - the handling was quite shocking really
