Good news though! I managed to repair the force feedback on my wheel - I borrowed a soldering iron and reattached the power socket prongs back onto the circuit board inside the unit, it worked a treat (I suspected that was the problem as the socket had felt loose for a while)... am back on the road :)

Oh my! You can't be real! I have never soldered in my life! 👍

Nice update :) Glad to see you still flying the Standard flag! Really like the Mini, and the Bug at Nordschliefe:) Just out of interest, was your Bug stock or tuned? Because tuned right, the Bug is a giant-killer. 27 different races at least can be won with it.

Also like the purplish effect on the Deux Chevaux :)

Finally took a step out into the Photo world (more or less "finished" the game) and I admit, "girl" caught my attention and seeing your pics has made me (and I am right now) set out to take nice pics as well. Actually, I tried before but could never get the shots I was looking for (eg your Nur GTi shot) where it would mimic as if I was panning. I said, "Well there's GOT to be a way," and after 30 mins of tinkering, I finally figured it out. Nice shots! My wife particularly likes your "The Final Kart Experience" since we both participate in a local kart-league here.

Thanks for the comments guys - all feedback is always valued :)

@Elstro - It was a stock Beetle, I suspect I might have beaten a 14 minute lap if it was tuned :D

@Leicht - Sure go ahead, as long as you host the images yourself and they are linked/credited :)

Another Great Update with some spectacular cars Please keep them Coming 👍

Oh and the ZR-1 RM is Probably Painted in Imola Orange Pearl But I Will check when I cranck up the game again.

Thanks sems, I appreciate that :)

Oh... who just sent me an Acura NSX?

I clicked through the gifting process and forgot who sent it and there seems to be no way to find out once it has been accepted - I checked the log and it doesn't say. Would like to send a thank you gift :(

really loving that first shot of the caterham 7. it's so nice and simple.
i'm surprised they even have the talon in gt5. i just wish it were the '91
AWD TSi. used to have one in real life, and i'd rather have it than that body.
how do you like the mustang ? i have a model car of that :D same exact color
too. great pictures. the standard car series remind me of the old gt4 photomode
forum.

@jgda9rs - Thanks for the nice comments, I wasn't too impressed with that version of the Mustang, but then I always preferred the '70s version ;)

Okay guys... another big update :D
I have been busy testing my collection again, all standard models this time.

Starting with a standard 'standard' Lupo
GT5e_Lup1.jpg

Totally uninspiring
GT5e_Lup2.jpg

Though the Lupo GTi was much more fun
GT5e_LupGTi1.jpg

But I do seem to have 4 different colour versions of the Lupo Cup Car somewhere
GT5e_LupGTi2.jpg

The old '80s box-shaped Celica
GT5e_SqCelica1.jpg

Didn't have as much grunt as I had hoped
GT5e_SqCelica2.jpg

This old Nissan Bluebird was a fun drive
GT5e_OlBlue1.jpg

GT5e_OlBlue2.jpg

It was also lacking in grunt though
GT5e_OlBlue3.jpg

Unlike this Skyline which had plenty
GT5e_Purpsky1.jpg

GT5e_Purpsky2.jpg

Talking of Skylines...
GT5e_FalkSky1.jpg

This had far more understeer than I would expect for a 4WD
GT5e_FalkSky2.jpg

The MR2, a favourite of mine from the old GT2 series
GT5e_MR21.jpg

GT5e_MR22.jpg

Had a little more oversteer than I remember
GT5e_MR23.jpg

...and it caught me out a little
GT5e_MR24.jpg

On the subject of oversteer - I tried this Chrysler out
GT5e_Chry1.jpg

Actually pretty cool for drift practice as it had predictable oversteer
GT5e_Chry2.jpg

Such a shame it is so darn ugly
GT5e_Chry3.jpg

This Autobacs Garaiya is far from ugly, I think
GT5e_AutoBACSol1.jpg

...and one of my new favourites
GT5e_AutoBACSol2.jpg

It held the corners like Loctite!
GT5e_AutoBACSol3.jpg

GT5e_AutoBACSol4.jpg

GT5e_AutoBACSol5.jpg

Unlike this RUF
GT5e_BadRuf3.jpg

Which I couldn't keep on the track
GT5e_BadRuf1.jpg

GT5e_BadRuf2.jpg

GT5e_BadRuf4.jpg

This BMW Touring Car was a real joy to pound around Nordschleife
GT5e_BMWTC1.jpg

GT5e_BMWTC2.jpg

GT5e_BMWTC3.jpg

Definitely added to my favourites list
GT5e_BMWTC4.jpg

GT5e_BMWTC5.jpg

GT5e_BMWTC6.jpg

This FTO wasn't great but I have added Cote d'Azur to my favourites list!
GT5e_FTO1.jpg

GT5e_FTO2.jpg

GT5e_FTO3.jpg

GT5e_FTO4.jpg

My previous 'real life' car was a '96 Renault Megane 1.6 5dr
GT5e_Megane1.jpg

I bought the same shape 2.0 Coupe to try
GT5e_Megane2.jpg

Mine had the older grille - but it was just as sweet to drive, crisp steering, predictable understeer
GT5e_Megane3.jpg

A former colleague of mine had the Fiat Turbo Coupe
GT5e_FiatT1.jpg

GT5e_FiatT2.jpg

GT5e_FiatT3.jpg

...and after one lap I can understand how his ended up in a ditch
GT5e_FiatT4.jpg

The Superbird has to have the most ridiculous wing ever!
GT5e_SuperB1.jpg

GT5e_SuperB2.jpg

Handled like a tired old hound too
GT5e_SuperB3.jpg

Which leads me last, but not least, to the Yellowbird
GT5e_YellRuf1.jpg

What a beast!
GT5e_YellRuf2.jpg

After several laps I thought I was getting the handle on drifting it a little
GT5e_YellRuf3.jpg

Then it bit me firmly on the rear cheeks!
GT5e_YellRuf4.jpg

GT5e_YellRuf5.jpg

GT5e_YellRuf6.jpg

I hope you enjoyed my latest road-test update - as always, your comments are welcome and appreciated :)

They attributed that ridiculous wing to the huge advantage Plymouth drivers had. It was banned from competition the next year.

Nice update, some good shots in there...

All I can say is "what standards?"... You seem to have knack of bringing out the best of these so called low res models that I have to do a doubletake sometimes, Nissan Bluebird shots are my faves of another great set.

Very good to see a girl into gt5.. First girl I seen on here I think?? Are there many on here that play gt5? Must say tho, awesome pics for a chick 10/10 !! :)

you give the standards so much love! Time to give some love back. <3

Keep it up. There are still a plenty of cars wanna get shot from you, hehe :)
You make them look good.....and they know it!

...and got the gold cup on my second run
Gt5_GolfGTI3.jpg

I am so impressed by the Golf, the VW Golf has always been one of my personal favourite cars and this pic is just one of a personal fav i've seen.

I really like your style of shooting cars, you've captured so many great moments! Im struggling to really give any detailed feedback though, simply because there are so many of them! I guess you're shooting to record moments as opposed to being full on artistic with them. I really should try that myself sometime!

Thanks for the comments guys - always appreciated.

Another update for you, still working my way through my standard cars and, I guess this is sort of a photo-diary of my GT5, though I hope some of the pictures have artistic merit to them too :D

Where to start... ah the Zonda
GT5f_ZondaC1-1.jpg

Mental - simple as that
GT5f_ZondaC2-1.jpg

Taking it back a few years to the Triumph Spitfire - not all that pleasant to handle in GT5
GT5f_Spitfire1-1.jpg

I don't know how I managed to avoid that though!
GT5f_Spitfire2.jpg

The Izuzuzuzu Piaazzazaza - or something
GT5f_Piazza1-1.jpg

Handles pretty much how it looks
GT5f_Piazza2-1.jpg

I have been collecting some 'every day' European cars
GT5f_Punto1-1.jpg

...and this unassuming Fiat really did have Spirito di Punto :)
GT5f_Punto2.jpg

Bob really made a mess of some cornering in London
GT5f_BobElise1-1.jpg

So I took the old Countach out for a tour
GT5f_Countach3.jpg

Ugly, in my opinion, but wow...
GT5f_Countach2.jpg

Handled like a dream!
GT5f_Countach1-1.jpg

Unlike this Carbon Skyline - It really did not agree with me
GT5f_CarbonRa1-1.jpg

GT5f_CarbonRa2-1.jpg

A Honda Civic always agrees with me
GT5f_CivicRB1-1.jpg

GT5f_CivicRB2-1.jpg

I finally took the Veyron out for a spin
GT5f_Veyron1.jpg

It is a marvel of engineering - good looking - completely impractical
GT5f_Veyron2.jpg

Oh... and outside of the straights it handles like a bucket
GT5f_Veyron3.jpg

Sadly, after driving it, the Anniversary Countach felt really sluggish
GT5f_Countach251-1.jpg

But had much nicer handling
GT5f_Countach252-1.jpg

GT5f_Countach253-1.jpg

I like to get dirty from time to time
GT5f_PajeroN2-1.jpg

Especially amidst such beautiful surroundings
GT5f_PajeroN1-1.jpg

Again I save the best until last
GT5f_Quattro1-1.jpg

I have loved the Quattro ever since childhood
GT5f_Quattro2-1.jpg

Now I can really appreciate why
GT5f_Quattro3-1.jpg

Not only is it incredibly photogenic from any angle
GT5f_Quattro4-1.jpg

It drives superbly too
GT5f_Quattro5-1.jpg

I'm feeling a bit of Quattro love now - it's 1982, teatime and I'm havin' hoops!
GT5f_Quattro6-1.jpg

Hope you liked them :) I am sure I will get around to trying out some premium models soon...

You've done a great job making some standard model cars look really nice - especially the Quattro (shot #4 of the Quattro is a superb example). Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see what you do with a premium model!
