I got a bit curious regarding the C-West Silvia and the livery. I googled it and found that it actually is like that in real life.

GT033-51.JPG

I have seen this done on certain drift cars too.

Nice shots of the C-West Silvia. I've had that car for months and never got round to trying it out. I have to imagine the reversed livery is just to make the design symmetrical and consistent - also means the race team doesn't need to do any extra work to make the design fit on the other side... ie. if it works on one side, the mirror will undoubtedly work on the other.

I didn't like the Option Stream Z when I tried it, which was a shame seeing as it looks so interesting to say the least. I remember it being awfully slow to get moving - perhaps a little unresponsive, despite having so much power at its finger tips.

I think the Supra is great for having fun on the track. I find it to be one of the easiest cars to control when sliding (on sports softs no less), which makes the most mundane tracks more enjoyable.

Favorites are the C-West and M3 sets, especially the second shot in the M3 set.

I still haven't dabbled much with Standards but I've seen plenty around here that look great - even before the visual improvements were done, and those are no exception. 👍

Damn, that last update is about as big as my whole gallery!

Highlights are the Miata, Cosmo, RX-8 and the very last shot. You've inspired me to drive more standards :)

You're definitely not a normal girl  not if you recognize the Lotus Esprit name!!~
A James May "hello" to you xD

Very nice pictures btw, its like reading a story~

Your updates are like a car brochure for GT5, I now want to go dust off all my standards in the garage and blow the cobwebs outta them on the track, even some of the old buckets..... Nice Lotus shots too ;).

Gosh... it has been a while since I posted any pictures. Here is an update on my 'standard' car testing - I have been buying so many since my bobs have been busy that I can barely keep up with them all ;)

Ah... the Audi A3
GT5g_A3Quat1.jpg

Nothing special
GT5g_A3Quat2.jpg

A little tail happy though
GT5g_A3Quat3.jpg

Talking of tail happy
GT5g_AMGs1.jpg

Never thought I would enjoy a Mercedes - this one was a real fun drive
GT5g_AMGs2.jpg

Yet another Miata - nothing to see here, move along
GT5g_anotherMiata1.jpg

Seriously, if you can tell the difference between all of these Miata's then you are a better driver than me!
GT5g_anotherMiata2.jpg

This big cat was super fun
GT5g_BlJag1.jpg

GT5g_BlJag2.jpg

But I found the Audi TT almost undrivable
GT5g_Att1.jpg

GT5g_Att2.jpg

Don't underestimate the little guys
GT5g_AutumnMarch1.jpg

This March was fantastic fun to drive around a tight track
GT5g_AutumnMarch2.jpg

As was this old Civic
GT5g_LilOrangeCivic1.jpg

With the added bonus that it looks really cute
GT5g_LilOrangeCivic2.jpg

I thought this old Nissan Rally Car looked cute too
GT5g_OlNisRal1.jpg

Come on PD - where is the snow accumulation on the tyres?
GT5g_OlNisRal2.jpg

Very poor snow rendering on the bodywork too IMO - fun drive though!
GT5g_OlNisRal3.jpg

On the subject of fun - I present this RX-7
GT5g_R7fun1.jpg

Most fun I have had trying to drift
GT5g_R7fun2.jpg

GT5g_R7fun3.jpg

I thought I would get the same kind of fun from the RX-8
GT5g_YRx82.jpg

But it ate me for breakfast ;)
GT5g_YRx83.jpg

I thought this Celica looked cool in it's early '90s styling
GT5g_RCelica1.jpg

It was a disappointing drive though
GT5g_RCelica2.jpg

GT5g_RCelica3.jpg

I was bitterly disappointed with the Mitsubishi Eclipse too
GT5g_MitEclipse1.jpg

Near uncontrollable
GT5g_MitEclipse2.jpg

Wait... is that really?
GT5g_MitEclipse3.jpg

Oh yes it is! One wheel on my wagon!
GT5g_MitEclipse4.jpg

Ah... The RunX
GT5g_RuntX1.jpg

I call it the Runt instead
GT5g_RuntX2.jpg

Shed loads of understeer
GT5g_RuntX3.jpg

A little like this aerodynamic wonder
GT5g_xBox1.jpg

The xB - which I now call the xBOX
GT5g_xBox2.jpg

Good for reflecting advertising boards though
GT5g_xBox3.jpg

I took the Polo GTi out on the Nurb - I wasn't expecting a fast time
GT5g_POloGTiNur1.jpg

No fast time - but I did get my first completely clean (no clipping the grass) lap despite pushing hard
GT5g_POloGTiNur2.jpg

This Nissan Xanananavi thingymabob was a stunning drive!
GT5g_NisMotulPit1.jpg

I suspect that I should have had a modicum of traction control added though
GT5g_NisMotulPit2.jpg

GT5g_NisMotulPit3.jpg

If I add some traction control this will be a beast - so planted!
GT5g_NisMotulPit4.jpg

The Shelby something - not as good as it looks
GT5g_Shelbys1.jpg

As was this Camaro
GT5g_CamSS1.jpg

GT5g_CamSS2.jpg

This Focus was properly planted
GT5g_GreyFocus1.jpg

Getting a nice line through Hammerhead
GT5g_GreyFocus2.jpg

And across the line - never get tired of saying that
GT5g_GreyFocus3.jpg

I always fancied a RL Seat Cupra
GT5g_Cupra1.jpg

Not now though - thoroughly uninspiring
GT5g_Cupra2.jpg

This must be my biggest air!
GT5g_Corral1.jpg

GT5g_Corral2.jpg

Tenuous link - talking of Hair
GT5g_MGre1.jpg

The hairdressers favourite
GT5g_MGre2.jpg

The MGF version was more fun though
GT5g_MGF1.jpg

GT5g_MGF2.jpg

GT5g_MGF3.jpg

The Lotus Carlton - great fun also
GT5g_Carlton1.jpg

GT5g_Carlton2.jpg

Finally - my most enjoyable off-road drive in GT5 to date!
GT5g_206Ral1.jpg

Don't underestimate the little guys ;)
GT5g_206Ral2.jpg

GT5g_206Ral3.jpg

Best fun I have had playing in the dirt
GT5g_206Ral4.jpg

A really great little drive
GT5g_206Ral5.jpg

I hope you have enjoyed the latest batch of standards - testing resumes ;)

You really do find some hidden gems by going through all of the cars, that Nissan March was a real surprise treat on the Autumn Ring :D

Nice big update. Second to last pic is my favorite as it looks so realistic plus I love rally cars on the dirt ;)

I never thought I would say this, but those pics of the xB actually make it almost look good

Also like the pics of the Trial Celica (or whatever it's called) 👍

Finally a Huge STandard car Update (don't see a lot of those )Some Shots here Look Incredible ,The Carlton is My Favorite .Love the angles but a great Update all Round 👍

Nice takes. But to call the Trial a disappointing drive and having said the Focus being properly planted is a bit funny ;) Since the Trial is amongst the better FF cars in the game. But this isn't the thread to talk about time attacking.

Keep up 👍

Thanks for the comments guys :D

@GTP_roadrunner - I am taking these cars out on the track in their stock form without even performing an oil change ;) - whatever tyres are on them when I buy them from the used lot, that is what they get tested in so maybe, with a little tuning and tweaking, these cars would be different altogether...

That's fair enough :)
I seldomly go beyond Sports Softs. Those sulrely might influence any car's behaviour you tested.
Just continue feeding us with your impressions :)

Great update. Love the last shot.

Nice to see standard cars getting some love.

Do you play with a DS3 or wheel?

Really love the 206 shots. I've loved that car since earlier games. I like your pictures because you represent the unsung heroes of this game. No the typical favorites. Really show how it's a driving game. Props.
