Kaido Battle in America!

Glad that's cleared up, now all thats left to do is wait for it to come out, then the fun shall begin! :) Does anyone know what cars are available when you start out? I heard that you could pick a AE85 and a few Kei cars.

yea im glad thats cleared up but at the same time it kinda dissappoints me knowing its on KB1. now im gonna have to rent it first before/if i buy

I'd say it's more than "quite possible." More like "very probable."

That is, unless Crave doesn't like money. :lol:

Well, the profitability of TXRD has yet to be shown. However, if they can recoup their publishing costs quickly, it's probably a done deal.

True, it has yet to demonstrate its sales potential. However, with it being named as part of the somewhat-well-known Tokyo Xtreme Racer series, and having the word Drift in its title, I think its chances are pretty good.... :sly:

Wow I checked the game out... And it seems extremely shallow... at least when it comes to the number of courses....

4 courses? Thats seriously it? KB2s 8 courses (I think...) is passable as enough courses but 4 is pushing it... I'm thinking of preordering it since it is budget priced... but its becoming a tough decision none the less...

-Is the gameplay good enough to warrant a purchase?

-How long would I expect the game to be?

-Does it work well with the DF or the DFP?

Edit: LoL nevermind just read the thread again and the infos there... I guess I missed the meat of the thread... Well preorder here I come~

EBGames was unprepared to take my preorder yesterday. Phooey.

Then I look on the EBGames website yesterday, it's delayed until may. Double-phooey.

yeah i saw that may 23 crap too, its bull**** already(sorry for my language). its not even worth buying in america already just get it imported and then you can play kaidou 3, sheesh i just want to kill something already, so dam lame. its not going to even be released in may its gonna be released next year already they should just stop making the stupid translations already, dammit...

okay ive released all of my anger at this stupid game that is all
thankx :ouch: :grumpy:

Damn I need to finish this game, so many rivals remaining :(

And the garage expansion costs are getting insane!

This delay pisses me off. I was looking forward to getting this in February, then March...now I'm losing interest, and I'm tempted to just import KB3, like azngtricer said. :rolleyes:

Just got Enthusia instead...
Definitely a under appreciated game thats for sure... Its really great...

I try not to get upset over the details like release dates... Just get something else... The Dragon Range & Autumn Mountain is enough for me right now... Hell even if that date gets delayed... I'm Getting TOCA...

I already know I'll be getting Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast... 👍

Racing Battle C1 Grand Prix is worth importing in the meantime while you wait.

I would have to say the physics are a mix of KB2 and TXR3, and it combines all the best features of both games. There are still SP battles, there are circuit races, and there are Drift Point battles. You can customize your car cosmetically and mechanically, and it has the paint editor just like TXR3.

Only thing is just about EVERYTHING in the game is in japanese, so you need to find the site with all the menus translated. Unless you can read Japanese ;)

Ryosuke_Gumna
It seems they always delay!! Why is it? It's an old game, it takes a while to translate.

Well it is more or less a racing game with much much more text than any other... I remember playing TXR3 and seeing so much info on every single team... Interesting but it makes it much more harder to bring to other countries... Nothing that superbly interesting either...

Kaido battle 2: Chain reaction Car list. (v0.1)
By MarutiDriver
******************************************************************************

This is just a quick guide which will let you know about all the cars in this
wonderful touge game, that's it, no gamplay information, settings or whatever
just the guide.

A quick note about this list's usage: This list may only be posted on GameFAQs
http://www.gamefaqs.com, no other sites are allowed to host this guide in any
form. Ye may use thy guide freely, as long as ye have it for personal use, ye
shan't use thy guide to earn a profit of any kind. Oh, and thou cannot get ye
flask...

Cars in this guide will contain the following information: Make, model,
drivetrain, engine type, NA/turbo, and the condition to make it available.

Drivetrains:

FF= Front engine, front wheel drive
FR= Front engine, rear wheel drive
MR= Midship engine, rear wheel drive
4WD= All wheel drive

Engine types:

S= In-line engine (straight)
V= V-line engine
B= Boxer engine (horizontally oposed)
RE= Rotary engine

Conditions to unlock each car should be clear enough, but anyway, defeat rival
#xxx means you have to win a race against that particular rival (who may show
during the day), Clear so and so, means defeating the slashers in the touge
mentioned. That's all, have fun

Looks like a cool car list. Would have liked to see some more z's in there..then again theyre not known for their drift ability.

Ive been watching trailors and etc. on youtube.com. Its got some videos people have made and what not.

Is this game going to be online compatible..I hope so.

Too bad the list that doblocruiser posted is of Kaido Battle 2, and doesn't represent the cars that americans will be getting with Tokyo Extreme Racer: Drift (which is Kaido Battle 1). :indiff:

did anyone who played Kaido battle 2 ever tried Kaido racer too?
(Kaido racer is the europen pal version of Kb2)
is somehow different? what about graphic?
