Kart Space Drift Track?

mikeonthebike
dude. it all spawned off off a simple comment about how most REAL LIFE DRIFT drivers WHEN THEY DRIFT IN GT5 use comfort mediums or hards to be realistic. and then it was a complete bash of me. NONE of you guys could even comprehend what I was saying.. because you all were running comfort hard or medium OF COURSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A REAL LIFE COMFORT HARDS by name...........it's like a hard compound sports tires that's all. and they don't use racing slicks in real life as you and your buddies said. you guys even referred to how overinflated drag tires are good and slippery hahaha yeah and I'm sure that huge side wall makes it good for cornering too.....what are you guys smoking over?? have you EVER drifted around a corner in real life? do you even drive??? do you know that rubber with massive grip heats up when slipped and burnt and rips huge chunks out of tires????

I don't know if you ever seen that most time trials have been in comfort soft because those are the most realistic to real life sports tires. there is countless videos where a REAL LIFE driver runs a track lap and then they try to duplicate it on gt5 and they've proven our GT5 super grippy race tires are unrealistic and the comfort softs were like good sports tires..............

and I WAS drifting..........the EXTREMELY stupid argument had calmed down....then you changed track then I was kicked out 3 turns in "you have been kicked out of lobby"

add you??? 👎 no thanks.

This is why you need a mic because it seems as you can't even understand what we were saying. We were all runing CM and CS because they are most realistic. CH don't exist in real life simple. And no one said they use racing slicks... we said it is ALMOST kinda simular to a slick but it is street legal so its different. The closest we can get to that here is RH or SS but doesn't let us get the angle. I said nothing about drag tires because I don't like drag racing and don't want anything to do with it, must have been someone else. You drift cars in real life... you can even drift a bike... want a cookie? You can do all that IRL but you run your mouth in my room and not drift in the game. If you were actually drifting, your car wouldn't be driving slow as you were typing.

Stop comparing a video game to real life. And formula d drivers use a super soft compound tire "falken 615's"

What? Tires discussions again and here? Just rid of this, everyone, please.

B-Raube is wrong, period. Not by all arguments he made, but simply because you, buddy, is mixing yourself with the wrong people. Let the CS folks do their monkey business, and we from the CH do our monkey business. You don´t need to prove to nobody if you can drift in real life, i respect your skills in GT5 already, and everyone who have 3 minutes tandeming with you will respect you also.

They think that they are the pros and we are the noobs. Let it be, we are the noobs then. I dont care.

Backing to the kart track discussion, did anybody already noticed any drift section?

LoL

I've still to get on it and give it a go with some of my drift cars!!!
Was hoping to get a go tonight but I went drift-karting instead :)

The tyre argument is retarded. CH etc provide the best drifting experience in the game. yes, top level drift cars in real life use much stickier tyres but there is so many other factors in real life that just can't be replicated in the game. even just simple things like extra lock and tyre pressures etc.

So its a pointless debate. just use whatever tyre you find you have the most fun with and don't complain about what others use. as long as they aren't a Racing soft 4wd idiot that flys into a corner at 3 times the speed needed and then shoots off the track half way around the corner while taking you out, you should have nothing to worry about :)

As for the drift sections in kart space, I think Spank said he found a few nice ones :) Its a tiny track though so two or three laps each way should show any possible lines that are nice to drift.

I wrote a haiku about my experience with the kart space:

Yesterday online,
I became host on this track.
I raced for an hour.

Oh yeah, and I never bought the DLC yet >. < LOOOL

I think its a pretty good drift track... well for the pros it is.
Im a beginner and i suck at drifting on it... I like tsukuba!

Yep. Read my haiku. Even when I was the ONLY person left on it, I was able to continue 2 playing

I don't have the DLC yet, but I played it online for the first time & it was fun stuff! It's challenge to try & connect corners off a straight lol.

How'd a Caterham fare? It seems to be the only thing I can fit around the track cleanly:dunce:

1.
My FC fits fine.
Any 1990's FR
from Japan fit well.

2.
What I really want
to see, Jay Lenno's tank car,
exit the pit lane.

Hmm ? My FC fit juuuuust fine.
It seems like all of them 1200kg 1990's FR from japan "fit" =p

What I really want to see is a vid of somebody pulling out of the pit lane with the tank car >=D
Dude you ruined it, your supposed to do a haiku in every post... :(

I personally LOVE this course, its really helped my technique, in terms of control in tight spaces, and its REALLY fun to do competitions in it!

Im watching people ignoring the "chess areas" importance. Some links only are doable if the right acceleration be done at these spots.

I like the track for cars with low power. Give up on drifting a 900+ hp Viper though

Definition of Haiku.
What i am figuring here is not if 1g is using haiku in a correct form, but yes what is the point of it?

Originaly i tought that he had a really small screen.
