Ken Block Goes Old School With His Ford Escort Cosworth Rally Car

It's a bit of a sacrilege that they painted over the windows of the perfectly good road car. I watched the video earlier and he said he wanted the livery to feel like one you'd see back in the day, before the age of computer designs and vinyl wraps... Which, you know, we used to do by sketching things on a piece of paper.

I don't care much for this guy or what he does, but I have recognize this amazing project he's done here. Beautiful car, and thank heavens without all that extreme nonsense I've seen in the other hoonigan cars. Just a pure rally car, how it should be done.

I hope it comes to forza 7 or horizon 4 please turn 10

Seeing as the car features Forza Horizon decals, it is extremely likely to appear in this year's Forza title. Can't tell if it will be in from launch or as part of post-release content though.

One of my dream cars, the Escort RS Cosworth, I love it. I plan on making a trip up north to the New England Forest Rally this July, so maybe I will get to see this car in action.

But what's the point of paintin all those windows? LOL Blind Gymnkhana?

So they could show off the base livery and use it as a concept for the race car. They talk about it a bit here.

I'm curious to see how the Group A Cosworth stacks up against contemporary machines. Last I heard the cars VSC uses for Subaru make 380~ish horsepower, so the car is down 30 HP and is pretty much in its same configuration from the 90's.

Needless to say painting all that glass for showin off is pointless, would have been cool if you can see through the paint but I guess thats not the case. The actual rally car looks great but I doubt it will stand a chance.

Christ, that looks terrible. Not the car itself seeing as I passed my driving test in 1990 it's very much of my era but the paint job actually looks like someone did it in Forza......and that person didn't really know what they were doing.

Oregon Trail Rally ended with Ken Block & Hoonigan finishing 3rd overall. Ken talks about the car and the differences between the Cossie and a Modern rally car.
