I'm going to try in my country but I really doubt I'll get any answer.
I think the answer will be:"Gran what?"

Lol good luck. :) I don't even want to imagine what the Porsche guys are gonna say to me..I can see the dirty looks now as Forza has the contract still.

Very likely. When the BMW 1-Series was launched, I went into a BMW dealership to get the Gran Turismo 'Virtual Drive' disc, and the staff in the dealership didn't even know what they were. I ended up with six discs though :dopey:

Okay you made my mind up :P I am going on monday.

We have a Lamborghini/Alfa Romeo retailer 5-10 minutes from where i live but i doubt anyone there would know.^^

I have a feeling it will be futile but it doesn't hurt to try though. But as someone pointed out earlier, PD probably told them to keep it shut shut. :yuck:

Edit: I've just had a thought.. We could try contacting Audi as they own Lamborghini anyway.. why didn't I think of that earlier? that also brings me to something. If they gave PD the licence to use Audis, then surely they can do the same with Lamborghini.
Contacting VAG won't do you any good. They have no say in the matter unless it negatively affects them.

Contacting Lamborghini by e-mail isn't necessarily going to work either. Chances are they either can't reveal anything or won't know anything about Polyphony coming by.

For anyone whose thinking of asking a garage/dealer, save your time. Nobody informs dealerships of these things because it doesn't affect them in any sort of way. At most, you'll get some smug lying to you unless he tells you something you already know.

Contract secrecy!? They will never tell if they have license or not.

Umm, just a thought, but in SimBin's latest game (not new, GTR Evo), there are no lambos or porsches, does that mean they lost their license to another developer? *cough*P*cough*D*cough*

There are no exclusivity licenses in regards to Porsche/Lambo, just that each company (so far EA and T10/MS) have to pay (lots of $) for the license. To this point PD has not had the money/will.

I know Codemasters got the contract for F1 EA's contract ran out, but only read that a few days ago.So if F1 cars will be in it, they will be without the drivers names and other essential parts of F1.

It could be money/will, but it could also be unable to agree on certain areas.

Like damage... why did they sign Ferrari then? Also FM3 has Porsche and Lambo (p/l) plus all the things that could possibly piss p/l off, livery editor, body kits, etc. Not to mention they are both in the NFS games which have been the most egregious stains against the true image of p/l I have ever seen.

What is SimBins latest game?

Rob192005 a company can sell a license to more than one companty at the same time. There's a difference between selling a license and selling an exclusive license. Since Lamborghini's are appearing in games (such as Forza 3 and SHIFT) from several different companies (Turn 10 and SMS) and appearing on different platforms (XB360 and PS3), I'm going to hazzard a guess that no one holds an exclusive license for Lamborghini road cars. Someone may hold an exclusive license for a specific model, we'll never know if that's the case or not, but no one can hold it for Lamborghni's in general.

Well thats basically what I said in my letter to Porsche (did not even get a reply). That no matter how much you think you are advertising with NFS you are simply targeting the wrong crowd. 8-21 year olds are the prime crowd for NFS games. And guess what the only Porsche or Lambo they have ever owned is a poster. HOWEVER. People that play GT are encompass all ages but mostly that of people form 25-50 (more than <25). These people may actually buy a Porsche or Lambo. In fact if I was choosing between a Ford GT and a Audi R8 I would choose the GT just because it is so fun to drive (safely and convincingly in GT5p). Not only that but I can race both of them right after another on a closed circuit. That is something that is almost impossible to achieve in any other place besides GT. Anyways the way I see it Lambo and Porsche can't let Ferrari get all the spot light. :)

Just because Turn10 & PD are looking for the same features, doesn't mean they're asking the same thing from the manufacturers. There are sorts of little requests & demands that go into these multi-page contracts.

Thats true. Stuff like technical information on the engines, suspension geometry, etc. It is possible that L/P do not want to reveal these things in such detail. I bet they may want things like their car on the cover or something like that when PD already had x car contracted.

Not even that, PD can and do fill in the gaps in information when they put a car in thier games and I doubt a manufacturer would turn down license money over having thier car on the cover or not. I recall something being mentioned about the cover cars having a connection to cars Kaz himself owns. As an example Turn 10 might go to Porsche and request an allowance to include X, Y and Z damage effects to thier cars, Porsche might say only Y and Z and Turn 10 say okay, then Turn 10 approach Lamborghini with the same request and Lamborghini say only Z and Turn 10 say okay. PD then approach the same two companies request W, X, Y and Z damage effects and get told no and the deal is over.
