Audi R8 in GT5P has a lots of Gallardo parts so I'm told from a friend of mine from Italy. So its already begun I hope.

Jerome

An Audi R8 is very similar to a Lamborghini because Audi is the parent company. They also look somewhat similar, at least in the back. They are like cousins.

I really do hope we get Lambo...however....since PD does have the Audi license, I hope they put in the Audi R8 V10, just so I can hear the Gallardo's soul in Audi's beautiful outer shell.

Since PD seems to be hit or miss in the sound department, i'm curious as to how that car will sound since it's the Gallardo's V10 and of course the Murcielago's V12 is epic. I hope they can pull that off.

PD's reluctance to aquire Lambo and porsche and other exotics, has always struck me as rather odd, why can other games with smaller bugets and unit sales have these manufactures whilst PD cant ???

The money argument does not seem to fit, PD is a major games developer, surely they could afford even a 1 model from lambo or porsche.

although i have no facts to back this up, i have always suspected the real reason was that Kaz is reluctent to add them is because they might steal the focus from the other manufactures, Kaz has included quite a few oddball cars that arnt exactly populare with the masses but are important in terms of automotive history, perhaps he been putting off the high profile exotics so players dont just automatically go straight for a Lam/por/ferra.
Bull, a lot of these other games with smaller games have a significantly smaller number of licenses used in them. The only racing game comparable to GT in terms of licensing agreements that also has Porsche Lamborghini and Ferrari is Forza and Turn 10 has Microsoft backing them financially. You can't say "why does Need for Speed Underground Pro Street Super Drift 164 have Porsches and not GT5" when the NFS game has no licensed tracks and say 65 licensed cars. For example, the budget per NFS game may well be smaller than PD's overall, but PD's has to stretch to however many hundered cars this GT game will feature and however many licensed tracks. The NFS game hasa fraction of that content wise. For PD to start then paying top rate for manufacturers who won't dramatically boost game sales could ultimately mean cutting out other mayjor manufacturers , maybe not cutting them out completely but certainly lowering what they license from them. If cost is the issue then that's because PD would have to sacrifice more than they would gain by including them. It most certainly is not because Kaz doesn't want people driving them instead of whatever other car.

Dave, NFS has some licensed tracks now, but I get your point.

Also, in relation to what you said, PD's use & needs from Porsche could be different from NFS's needs.

I see, so that could be good news. Since we have had the parent company for the past...forever...maybe it will be easier to the cool cousin to play along :)

Yes this time i think the Lambo, will be in the game! With maybe some other Exotic cars, all of us want to see and drive!!!:sly:👍

Well the new game from System 3, called SuperCar Challenge has Lamborghinis...

^^ Your point being?

I think his point would be that if a relatively small company like System 3 can license Lamborghini's then PD should easily be able to.:indiff:

It's not like Lambo are tied to one company either, they seem keen to allow lots of developers to use their cars.

With Porsche we can accept that EA/Need for Speed have paid for exclusive rights, but with Lamborghini there doesn't appear to be any legal issues. All I can think of is that PD are unwilling to pay the price Lambo want, which would be odd considering System 3 can afford it and PD have a massive budget.

In short: if they can, why cant PD?

Because PD has alot of other things they need to spend their money on (other car lisencing, track lisencing, race series lisencieing, etc) while supercar challange is a small game(in comparison ofcorse) so they can afford to spend what little money they have all on a few car manafacturers while GT needs to get hundreds of things and even with their budget that is difficult.

It has nothing to do with 1 game getting them & not PD. System 3 & PD, as like Turn10, obviously have different Terms & Agreements for Lamborghini. And it just so happens that PD's contracts might be harder for Lamborghini to accept.

Reading Kaz interviews over the course of time, the issue comes down to either manufacturers being exclusive to other publishers or ridiculous royalty demands.

PD's Ferrari deal certainly broke the ice in terms of one of the few top manufacturers to finally step foot in a GT game, and interviews even from other developers mentions that Ferrari is probably the most demanding in how their cars are represented in games, certainly a lot more strict than Porsche or Lambo.

My point being, if PD finally manage to tame the Italian Stallion, then surely then can suppress a Raging Bull? :sly:
