Yeah Mitsubishi has been a little bit down at rallying couple years. Like we all know Tommi won the titles to Mitsubishi in many years in a row. The 1998 was with luck as we all know also how unlucky Sainz was in final stage. Then at 01 when Burns won the championship Mäkinen leaded the serie before Mitsubishi switched to EVO7 WRC. I think Tommi losed the championship at 01 because Mitsubishi decided to take EVO7 WRC to rallying at Italy. Yes he retired in Finland and in NZ he just drived so badly with EVO6 that didnt got points and in Corsica had that huge roll with EVO7 WRC.
in 2002 Mitsubishi continued with EVO7 WRC but drivers was so bad that them didnt had changes to do well so them pulled out after mid season to deveploment the car. The line up was Delecour,A.McRae and Paasonen. In 2003 them came back with EVO7 WRC evo model what showed a way to better. Them done couple rounds only but tested a lot. Best result was when A.McRae was 5th in NZ. in 2004 them came back with full program and with new car but pulled out again to deveploment desk. Like we all know Mitsu had a lot of problems but the drivers also didnt was top class like Panizzi,Sohlberg,Galli and Sola. 2005 has started well that I can say and maybe its a new start to Mitsubishi!
In GT4 the cars has always done well and has been nice to drive what I have drived with them(I am not Mitsu fan but a huge rally fan so I play rally stages a lot in GT4 game).
At last I hope Mitsu fans liked to my story and I hope its not too big. I know it has spelling mistakes....
