To breeze through the tuned series and tuned enduro (SSR11 reverse), try the Impreza Type R. Great, great car. Ive won the GTWC with that car, so against non race cars, it dominates. The Cerbera is also a great choice.
I would advise against GTOs, not that they cant do the job, but they are handfuls and I dont find the driving style as enjoyable.
How so? I find that a non-race-modded GTO TT gives similar lap times on most tracks (and slower on the slower tracks) to my Impreza Type R and Cerbera. The 930 hp may be fast, but the steering is horrible compared to my 400-500 hp starlets. You end up accelerating hard and braking hard, not very smooth and hard to get into a rythm. The race modded GTO is a different animal and takes the corners much better (though that car gets spanked by the Concept car, Cerbera LM and del Sol LM as its a whole new class of cars), but for non-race-modded cars, ill take my Subaru or TVR anyday, please and thank you. Just alot more enjoyable for me.The GTO is the Excuseo....oops....Escudo...of GT1...in other words, it's one of the "cheat" cars since you can pile on loads of power and not "work" so much. 💡
