EDIT: Haven't seen what's there yet, as I started a remote race after seeing no change as of my last post.
EDIT 2: High end cars (over 200K cr.) in OCD update are Audi R8 Race Car (Playstation ORECA) '05, Veyron 16.4 '09, Furai concept '08, and BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 (and the usual FGT).
So disappointing. the game would be better if Sony packed it all up and gave it to activision or ea. The ideas were pure in gt1 an have been getting distorted ever since.
Just like a first person shooter has evolved into an online dominant game, pd should realize that's where it's going.
I want to obtain cars and drive the wheels off them online. I don't care about ai races!
Just like call of duty it's online only for me.
Now back to endless dream car championship to get just one 5 million dollar car!
That is if they can get the online right. Which they won't, the online is shocking on this game never had a worse experience online in any game. Finding a room is a chore (never have issues with other games). Give me a race generator that gives credits and xp and I'll be happy. The seasonals do nothing for me and I'd rather play offline than spend hours trying to find a room that I can stay in. A race generator would be just right to keep the game going for me thanks to the lack of A-Spec events compared to GT4.
I like the XP the seasonals give (if it's the big XP ones) other than that driving from the back of the pack to the front is pretty uninteresting for me, restricted or not. They could do away with the XP system altogether, never see the point in it.

They're not giving anything for free, they're actually still trying to finish the game they could never finish. Every update is fixing something they mess up or didn't complete. As for the seasonal, it's there to counter the stupid leveling system.
But with the last updates, they're actually removing features that they hyped for months before launch.
