Sounds painful. ;)

As for plans, I have none specific apart from working to convince my local independant into selling me the game a few days early before play.com deliver my CE. But only if he has the CE, or I'll wait for postie.

Once I confirm that my local Play N Trade has my pre-ordered CE; I will take the next day off work, and look out first weekend of having GT5 in my mitts!

Fonzdaii Bravo
I demand an encore.

Needless to say, the first week of November will have a dramatic rise in insomniacs worldwide. Men will isolate themselves from their families, college GPA's will plummet (mine included), the PSN will be crowded as hell, and the satisfaction level for petrol heads could never be higher!

Me, I plan on attacking the delivery guy/girl like the neighbors dog goes after the mailman, and spending the next hour staring at my CE. Ah, we have waited too long for this.

Same here 👍 - ill probably flip out on the postman if he doesnt have the game for me on release day :ouch:

Here in the UK it's a Friday so when I get home my SE should be there, so i'll have the whole weekend to play :sly:

Well im moving into a sweet new house ,with an awesome view of Sydney's skyline, a week before the game comes out, so ill be just finishing up the unpacking and setting up of my home theatre and be ready to sit down with a case of beer and a fridge pre stocked with food that takes less than 2mins to prepare, and 5 days off work. Heck yes.

I'm going to skip the midnight release, go to work that morning and watch the clock until 6pm when I get off. Then I'm heading straight to my local GameStop to purchase my reserved copy. Get home as fast as I can (legally :D) pop that sucker into my PS3 and start drooling.

Waiting until my copy arrives, then playing it far too much while completely forgetting about studying :)

I may need to send the wife for a spa (not the track ) weekend to soothe her racing 'nerves' :)

Setup DFGT wheel, insert the disc and let the magic begin!:sly:

I'll be taking some much needed vacation days and then i'll sit back and enjoy greatness.

Smoke the pipe whole day, face the lads on Fifa, then gt5:sly:

I have booked the 5th then the following week 8th to the 12th.

Screw legally. It normally takes me 10 minutes to get home from the GS I preordered at. I'll complete the trip in less than 2.

Just kidding. :D

If there is a midnight release close to my house, even remotely, i will be there to buy myself a unreserved copy of a standard/regular GT5, head home, pull an all-nighter, be sick in the morning, call in sick... (or simply take a day off on that day) and start pounding at the game all day long...

I better start planning / preparing for that day, stock up on food and drink like some of you...

that's going to be my mini vacation from work :)

I used to be off mon-wed so I WAS going to get it at midnight on the 2nd and play for 2 days before I had to go back to work. I now work mon-fri and have school tuesday night. I'll have to wait till wednesday to put in a few hours on it. It will be the weekend after before I actually have some real time with it.

I should make a crap-load of these and hand them out to people waiting at the midnight launches! ;)

I was thinking... Mind if I use these too? :) But, I don't know. People around this area would just think I'm weird.

Doesn't sound like the kind of people worth knowing! Time to dust off the printer. Hmm, I wonder how much a personal laminating machine costs...

AAAW man this is genius. Wish I could make some but that would be just a waste of ink.

My midterm is Nov 1st for my Calculus II class... Lol can't let the excitement get to me. Haha

I'll be in the middle of nowhere hunting mule deer... but as soon as I get back it'll be go time! May have to call in sick... till January!

anybody agree that the whole world economy system will get down for 1-2 weeks minimum starting Nov.3rd because WE are all on holiday? LOL

Well, I've booked the following week off work. So, I'll be going a bit crazy enjoying it. It'll be on my HDTV, with either a boggo controller or a Fanatec wheel - if I can afford one by then

It will be a case of stocking up on things. I am debating going to my local midnight launch, but equally I want to get the collectors edition, and I don't know what the queues will be like...

And the man that made those door signs is a ****ing genius.

HPT, get a wheel if you can. I've always steered (no pun intended) clear of them until recently when I bit the bullet and bought a Logitech GT with pedals. Just under 80 quid from Argos and I've got to say my racing games have taken on a whole new meaning. I've also got my other half to get me a wheel stand pro to mount it on so I'm well set up for when GT5 drops through my letterbox.
