Before you say that it sucks, keep in mind it's supposed to have 550 hp... i personally thinks that the looks are a bit more aggressive, but it's still having an identity crisis.

Booo. They're building an X5M too, which I believe had its own thread at one point. The X6 is just too awkward to be cool, and that's it. Unless they sell a diesel version of the X6 here. Then it is amazing.

well, it'll be a good testbed for that twinturbo V8 that will be powering the M5 and M6.. The turbos were between the banks if my memory serves.. can someone confirm?

To blatantly say that I am wrong is a bit tough really, because I have seen images of tuned X3/5s in Dubai and the UAE with the same sort of kit on it.
And this is the first I've seen of these patrols.
I think the clip with the Patrol followed by the SLR is even more amazing than the one you posted, but these machines are amazing - what tyres are they running?

If Porsche has the laziest design studio in the world, BMW has the most confused.

I'm one of the few people that likes the BMW X6. BMW took a chance making (essentially) a big car, and it looks wicked to me. This is a REAL big car unlike most crossovers that are more car than SUV. As for this X6 M, looks meaner and packs a punch. To me, the X6 line is more like a civilized Dakar "car." The extra detail around the mufflers and diffuser are a bit outlandish to me, but that's my only gripe.

Should be a wonderful and unique machine if its handling characteristics are as good as a proper BMW car. I'm not in love with this machine, but I'm passing this X6 M rather than failing it.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the X6, though I did read somewhere that BMW are saying an X6M is faster round the 'Ring than an M3... quite some achievement for a 2+ ton SUV.

Hm... I wouldn't say the X6 M looks cool... personally I would take the X5M... it's more practical, cheaper, same engine, less ridiculous. But if it was my 70-80 grand... i'd buy a GT-R and smoke them both.
