It's not that fast. In fact, you can control your character's speed pretty easily from a slow crawl to a sprint basically. And a lot of zombies won't always come rushing at you instantly. I noticed from the demo that a lot of the game's sounds come from Team Fortress 2, notedly the turret machine gun and when you grab something. Not an issue.Saw this on the marketplace last night and checked out a few videos on youtube. The speed of the gameplay reminds me of Serious Sam.
I've literally been playing this all day. It's so addicting, because it's always new - the director idea was completely brilliant. You never know how it's going to pan out exactly.
Just when you think you're doing well and staying healthy, here comes a swarm of 100 zombies sprinting toward you.
Good point, but not because I can talk to them, but b/c a headset actually lets me hear them. I seriously think the volume of peoples' voices are just purposely drowned out by the game itself.Reventon, you need to go out and get a headset right now. The game's fun is multiplied exponentially by playing with real people that you can talk to.
I said now!!!
The demo was pretty fun. I plan on renting this for sure when it comes out.
Rental stores usually take 2-3 days to get a new game. Plus with the NXE happening tomorrow I dont expect to even be able to play on xboxlive. You know how those updates go. So I will plan on playing single player games tomorow or even for a few days until everything is up and running.Reventón;3220058Then, you better get over to a rental store. It came out today.![]()
Should I get the 360 version or PC?
360: I can play with family members and have surround sound
PC: It would freeze time to time because of Horde and free Internet Play.
rental?I'm trying to decide between this and Gears 2. Honestly though, I can't afford either, so it's a moot point.
Rent Left 4 dead buy GOW2.I'm trying to decide between this and Gears 2. Honestly though, I can't afford either, so it's a moot point.
GOW2 takes at around 12 hours to beat as a co-op on the easiest level. Plus it has 5 player horde, bots in player match, set bot difficulty, pick map, pick gametype and much more. Plus it will take you a very long time to get 100,000 kills for the Seriously 2.0 achievement if you like going for that sort of thing. I currently have 4,600 / 100,000 kills.GOW2 is pretty beatable as a rental. I'm still waiting to buy Saint's Row 2 and Skate2 when it comes out. I'm going to pass on the whole COD GOW fad for now.
I'll probably pick up this game later in the year, the demo is incredibly fun, but it just doesn't seem like a game with a ton of depth.

L4D can be beat in under 2 hours.
See I was being fair. I was saying if you put both games on the easiest difficulty you can get through L4D in 2 hours and get through GOW2 in 12. I was being fair. Same goes for GOW2. You put that on insane which is the 4th and highest difficulty and that will take easily 20 hours to beat. Both are fun games it just seems GOW2 has a lot more content and its a much longer game. Also GOW2 does not have respawning enemies.Reventón;3221607No, it can't unless you're playing on I-suck-at-this-game-really-bad, easy mode throughout the whole game.
Each scenario takes 45-75 minutes, and there's 5 scenarios. That's 3 1/2 hours at the least. Play it on Expert, and no one will be beating Left 4 Dead in anywhere close to 2 hours. Try, maybe 12 hours at the least. It's incredibly hard and requires more teamwork than nearly any kind of game I've seen put emphasis on.
Plus, the game has major replayability since the AI director always chooses different outcomes in levels.
I would say go by preference. If you like shooting zombie-like enemies that comes randomly with three special types of monster. Go with L4DSee I was being fair. But that's the thing. You can't beat L4D in under 2 hours, even on easy. The chapters in each scenario are just long enough to keep the game going for around 3 hours at the least.See I was being fair. Lang warning...
