Has anyone noticed that Lego's suddenly added a bunch of retirement dates this year? I noticed it on 21265, 21044, 21028, 71374, and 40650, all of which I hope to get eventually.
I'm using the brickset retiring this year list - They only had a few sets on there.I can't say I've noticed if it's sudden, but they all have retirement dates listed on Brick Tap's retirement date spreadsheet (except for 71374 which was retired at the end of last year) and on each set's page on Rebrickable. In fairness 21044 has been out since 2019 and 21028 since 2016 - they can't sell sets indefinately!
I've definitely added the Game Boy to my "Get for my next birthday list" for next year.
Indeed there are new ones, this Friday August 1st in fact! It's been a while since I got a Speed Champions set, and I recently got a shelf for my finished cars but still have space for more. I looked around Target, Scheel's, even a LEGO store at a nearby shopping area, and all there are is the F1 lineup. There's also the Camaro NASCAR. Are there any new sets coming out soon?
Just browsing the website says not much. Lego seems to be all in on the F1 sets at the moment. The only real sets I'm interested in now are the 747 Shuttle Carrier and the Artemis Launch System sets. It's been a while since I got a Speed Champions set, and I recently got a shelf for my finished cars but still have space for more.
