Awesome 👍

I'm hunting down two sets on eBay right now: Indy Transport from the mid-90's, and the Pizzeria from just before then. I have the latter, scattered in a few bins, but I noticed some pretty strong discoloration on the white blocks. Seems it's common considering the age though, so perhaps it's not worth paying... Twice the original price?!

Just got this today.

That's cool! With power functions :dopey: I want!

Double the original price seems to happen with all the old kits. They probably won't get any cheaper either so if you have the money, why not.. :D

Did anyone collect the Bionicles by any chance? I went through some old stuff and found some Bionicles. I got a few from 2001, really liked it but never got the newer ones. (didn't really had the money for them at age 11) Checking on eBay, they aren't really expensive, maybe I'm going to get me the rest of the set! If I would have the first 6 I only have to get the other 87! :dopey:

edit;
There are a bit more figures than 87  Crap!

Power function is not as cool as it could be. It's not included in the box and it only lifts the engine cover and changes the angle of the wing. If only it drove the car and steered it...

Its great to see new people in this thread. Hopefully it really takes off and having 2 moderators posting aswell is great. Here are some more pics from Brickvention 2013.

It doesn't? :grumpy: That's sad.. But still a nice thing to get you going! 👍

I don't like how there's so many specialized parts in todays lego. Like parts for a specific model.

The Creator and Technic sets aren't as bad for that, and those are the ones I go for.

The only recent model I've got that can't be built into something else is the Sopwith Camel.

Got some new kits.

Looks like the F1 type car looks great to build by looking at your pics Daan.

Edit...

Just finished the Crane.

Edit 2...

Finished the Grass-cutter. It's got retractable cutting arm that when lowered its connects the the rear wheels and spins the blades, it's also got steering.

With blades up.

Close up of the blade mechanism.

Close up of blades down.

Edit 3...

Now the F1 car is done.

Just been given this by my fiancée as a belated valentines present.

The Fury Class is a cool model and I really enjoyed building it, but it's the only Lego set I've ever owned that had missing pieces which made it a bit frustrating. Lego will send you missing pieces pretty quickly if you request them though.

Yeh it looks a good model. Once I have some space to display them it will look good with the other Star Wars sets ive got.

Hope ive got no missing parts. supposed with all the extras from my other sets I might be ok.

Very cool sets in this thread. I've since gotten halfway back into Legos.
Of course I have Legos scattered amoungst my house from when I was a kid, but now I'm in college and have really only been able to afford these two Creator sets within the past six months.
The bottom one I actually bought yesterday. :D

I think the tow truck is the coolest of the set. I currently have the featured car built, but I made lots of little detail changes. Pictures tomorrow hopefully!

A big mining wheel loader I built when I was pretty bored a while ago. Its in minifig-size (note minifig in operators cab)
It even has a V16 cylinder engine, but I forgot to take a pic...

Lego is great. Has anyone seen the BOSS Crawler limited edition set, that was the winning design of a competition? The top 100 in the competition, also get one for free (I'm in the top 100)!

I'm currently designing a Caterham 7 CSR, with a 5+R sequential gearbox, brakes, drive and steering, all powered by power functions.

I designed and built this working lego car:

It's powered by two rear-mounted NXT motors (It must be a Porsche!), hooked up to a mid-mounted NXT brick. It's very slow, as it weighs a ton, but at least it runs. The gullwing doors were actually a necessity, because the chassis rails are quite high. It has a separate chassis, and the body is mounted to it. Unfortunately, lego is not conducive to monocoque structures.

It looks great! I'll post a picture of my current project on Lego Digital Designer.

Well, after a long time spent behind my computer screen, and many different versions of this, I present you my current project.

It's going to be a very high-tec car, with many remote control features which include...

- Remote Control Drive and Steering
- 5+R Sequential Gearbox
- Brakes on all 4 wheels

Also integrated into the car will be a system which, like a real car, allows the car to accelerate in each gear, so starting off slowly, then accelerating, before changing gear, and at the same thing happening again. Just like a real car.

All of this using real Lego parts.
