LeMans video

Can they get a replay of le mans?
Apart from the one in the first post of this thread?

The chicanes are there. Maybe there's a chicaned version becomes available later on in the game. The track in that video was a mish-mash of old and new.

old - no chicanes
new - new left/right after the dunlop bridge.

TBH, I'd have much rather a race spec TVR in place of all 3 of thoes ancient cars, they're a gimmic as far as I' concerned, I'll never use one unless theres a race where I have to, if there is I hope it's on a special tiny go kart like track.

An other video made by this two french guys :

It's an R92CP. And the track is the 2003-spec circuit. You merely get a choice of w/ chicanes or w/o chicanes.

thx :)

Still nice from PD to put that option in the game, a lot of people find it a shame that they put 2 chicanes on the track and i don't know any other game* that has this track in it :)

(*maybe as a mod)

It may just be me but the track doesn't really look like Le Mans.First off, from what i have seen from that video it looks too narrow. The part after the Mulsanne strait doesn't look like the actual track.Sure the track is accurate but something is just slightly off,i can't put my finger on what it is.Ah well, atleast the track is in,wich is a huge plus right there.

Thanks for the videos!
When the car rolled back down the hill (toofasttoofurious.mpg), it reminded me of the last BBC Top Gear episode with the Korean cars ;)

Well, in fact, it seems really accurate for me...
The thing I just didn't like was the physics... First it gets its topspeed of 370 km/h before the site of the first chicane (I find this a bit hard, as in 1990 the Nissan achieved no more then 360 km/h at that point, but, maybe let's forget this part). The most unrealistic thing though was how the car braked :ouch: How the hell can he stop a 1000kg sportscar at 370km/h to just 80km/h in roughly 80 meters? There's surely some mistake i'd think!

Bentley Speed 8 around the Arnage curve. As you can see it is nothing more then a 2-lane road.

How you know Aid wasn't on? And I dont see anything missing on the gt4 le mans.

Does it stutter like that in game, or is it just the capture? I'll have to agree with GTChamp, something not quite right with the layout... I can't seem to find any onboard videos from the race to compare, either.

There's no crest on Mulsanne, I just realised. I know they reworked that section of the track after the flying Benz'es of 99, but it's not flat like that. The trees at the beginning of Mulsanne have much longer trunks in real life, but that's really just some nitpicking.

The normal braking point coming down the Mulsannes is right at that first rumble strip that curves to the right before the actual turn. He braked right where he should have.

Excellent, Jordan 👍

I'm another who doesn't see the allure of the de-chicaned version. Sure, a long straight like that is great for top-speed runs, but that makes for a boring race. Especially in the case of that Nissan; hooray, bumping the limiter.

I'm disappointed the crest is (afaict) nonexistent. The track just doesn't doo much for me in that state; I'll probably run the chicaned version more, although both won't get near the time I'll be dedicating to the 'Ring.

Ok, I see, mybad. Yes, I saw elevation change, could be the cam like you said but what's missing from the gt4 version of le mans. People seem to think something is missing but I dont see anything missing, signs maybe. You all know, 3 versions of le mans was said to be in. We have 2 versions so far, could the third one, if there's a third one be the one where the clr fipped?

The 1999 version of the track would require them to change the hill and to change the Esses after the Dunlop Bridge back to a straight. Some scenery would probably be different too...

If the 3 versions of le mans is true, I hope it's the 99 version but you know, the 60's version is the coolest one. You know something, if we were to see a replay, we could see the hill. I checked out some vids and one cam view makes the hill where the clr flipped look somewhat flat.
