Let's Make A Car List For GT4

I'd love to see some of the Australia V8 Grunt cars in there. A pick of the range from HSV like an R8, the GTS 300 kw, the new prototype for the 6.2 litre 350 kw Maloo UTE, the new Monaro (in its different engine configs, V8 and supercharge V6) and a bit of Ford's V8 beasts too, like Tickford XR8, and FE50.

A few of the US muscle cars. Old corvets, plus those huge 7.0 V8 beasts that handle like cr*p. The roadrunner, the charger, etc.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few Japanese family sedans from the 80's and 90's (sounds crazy, I know) . Always fun to hot up, and put through their paces against real sports cars. Stuff that everyone has driven or owned.

Was there a Bentley limo in GT2? I remeber winning a crazy huge limo in GT2 that had nutzo power, but was huge and slid all over the place. Can't remeber what it was called.

The variety in GT2 was great! I miss the vector W8. Bring them all back for GT4. And a bloody drag strip for crying out loud. How hard could that be?

And it goes without saying that it would be great if the big car manfacturers would release their license for GT4, but I'm a realist. I don't see it happening.
:(

I 2 loved the Vector W8, 3 gears 250mph lol!

these guys have gotta get their act together! BMW has a 328!?!?? where are the bloody M cars????? Z3 M, M5, M3!!

Porsches (or Ruf's) are already there, but it'd be nice to see a 959, 962, and most of all a 917k (the car that beat the GT40, remember!)

Ferrari's would be a real nice addition...F40, 288 GTO, F50, 360 Challege. after all, they are the ultimate gt cars! not gonna happen till Ferrari realizes that sega sucks!

Whomever decided to remove the Diablo for the Western versions of the GT3 was a moron. Countach and Muira SV would be nice. But come on guys! We gotta have a Diablo...just so I can beat it with the Zonda (perhaps that's the real reason they didn't show...hmmmm)

I gotta wonder what happened to the best two cars in GT2: the Ford RS200 and Vector W8 twin turbo! They should put them both back in and add an RS200 Evo...quickest production car in the world boyZ!

Lastly, but MOST IMPORTANTLY. Where the hell is the fastest production car in the world!!!! HELLO!!!! McLaren F1!!!!!!

but when it all comes down to it...cars are irrelevant. tracks are the thing. bringing in monaco was good. just get us lemans, spa, monza, indy, hockenhiem and suzuka and i'll stop ********!

Couldn't have said it better myself :D

I do believe the question asked was what we want to see in GT4, not "hey lets dump on what other people want." I know, why don't you go to the automotive form and you can start a thread dumping all over all North American cars new and old. No matter how great they were for there time, and still are. One question, do you cross Keele st. or Steeles ave. to get to U of T. With that kind of tunnel vision, I would use Keele. The cars are a little slower there.

No hemi-boy i don't cross keele or steeles to get to school ....keele and steeles.....who would want to live way up there! ......i live beside Casa Loma in Forest Hill which is like 2 mins from school ....perhaps you've never heard of this area being on the outskirts of T.O.

:fdevil:

I still prefer real cars... not the ones in my dreams. Y'know, the dream where your parents are multi-billionaires who every toy you ever wanted?

As I live in the real world, I want something I can afford to buy, maintain, and insure IRL.

And it would be REALLY nice if GT4, another step towards Yamauchi-san's dream of an automotive encyclopedia, takes the time to digitize my humble rides and allow me to give them some real HP and drive them in places I'll prob'ly never be able to travel to and wouldn't be allowed on the track if I got there.

Thank you....actually this is the most desirable place in T.O. to live......some of the houses reach prices of 20 million......we're up on the hill north of Davenport.....the steepest elevation change in all of Toronto........ all of Toronto's wealthiest wanted to live here b/c they were still minutes from the downtown core but were away from the hussle and bussle of everyone down there........it used to be the old indian shoreline of Lake Ontario and the indians would travel from the Humber river to the Don river along the windy Davenport Road .......our house is built on what used to be Sir Henry Pallet's golf course........the Simpsons (now the Bay) owners of the giant retail store downtown used to live down the street from our house........many of the homes around here are priceless and instead are inhabited by nuns or the houses can be viewed on tours......in the summer, plenty of Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches drive past my house and any time of the year, the neighbourhood is cluttered with BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Bentley, and Jaguar......we have beautiful parks and ravines and a new three storey Loblaws (which must be the nicest and largest in Canada)....that's a general briefing of my neighbourhood........now why don't you tell me a little about MAPLE

Thank you for the description of your area, I have visited it on several occasions for both business and pleasure. I would give you a description of Maple, however, this is not the forum for such a post. Maybe we should open a post in the rumble strip for such a discussion. Not just where we live, but where we all live. Anyone game?

Since you mentioned BMW, I must say something about my favorite BMW. The BMW Hartge H50. It's based on the M3 coupe. It's got 460hp@6800 rpm
540lb-ft torgque @4500rpm. It's qutie nice. It even looks cool as hell. Check it out!

Front
M3rear.jpg

Rear

This has to be the fastest stock BMW I've seen, it even comes with a turbocharged V-8.

I think the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX and the 2000 Eclipse GT, GT never put the 1997-1999 body style Eclipse which I really didn't like and in Grand Turismo 3 there wasn't even a Eclipse, a 1999 GSX would be really cool to see in Gran Turismo 4, not the old old body style like in GT1 and GT2 but the 1997-1999 body style Eclipse TURBO AWD 210hp GSX and the 2000 Eclipse GT V6 200hp,
-pete

They need to make topless versions of the cars. I love the Shelby Cobra, but the top on it looks stupid. I Porsches and Ferraris are a must too. Maybe some older models too.

can't breathe....

Good call Maximumponies - you should be able to race with the top down on the convertibles - we've seen the drivers in the F1 cars, and silhouettes inside the other cars, why not a driver in the car - he should put his arm on the passenger's seat to reverse, just like GTA3.

Now, all we need is open convertibles and roll-overs....

Something I want to see changed in GT4 is the retail value of the cars. All of my non-race cars are souped up with about 400,000-500,000 dollars in parts but it's still only worth crap. Let's say my Supra RZ. It's got every mod you can buy for it, but it's still only worth 11,200. It kinda makes me mad, because what if you spend all the money on a car and you don't llike, all that money down the ****ter.

some that come to mind:
Audi R8 (lemans race car ....they already have the Panoz Esperante)
BMW M3
lots of Ferraris
get the Alfa touring car back in there
McLaren F1 (all versions)

cccc cc gt4 should have more company modified cars like more mugen, nismo, tommykaira, trd, tom's,mazdaspeed, and they should put a body kit section and have companies like c-westin,veilside,blitz,trd,mugen,bomex,mazdaspeed, etc...
