Was just wondering about the Lexus IS200 GT-1 Race Car. It says that it is Korean, but I always thought that Lexus was Toyota, thus Japanese. Any suggestions as to why it is classed as Korean?

They ES and others are manufactured in a Korean location...
They have plants all over the world.

Lexus was originally Toyota's, US brand. So it should either be US or Japanese. I think it's an error on PD's part, like Kimi Raikonen's nearest rival being Loius Hamilton (not Lewis).

The description says the car was owned and raced by a Korean racing team, that would be my guess to why the game classifies it as a Korean car.

What??? It was designed for the purpose of being their "luxury brand"...granted it was heavily pushed in the States, but that was by design of our marketplace.

As I stated before, it probably comes down to country of origin which in this case is probably S. Korean since they also have a plant there.

Doubt it. MINI is owned by BMW so is classed German. MINI's are made in Oxford, so should be British. The Rover Mini is classed German, because it's grouped with the new MINI.

No, as its description says it is because it races in a Korean Race Championship built by a Korean team therefore its 'manufacturer' is Korean.
Yes it is a little strange since some of the other race cars are known by there actual manufacturer rather than the team that built them.
