I saw a show where they resprayed an Audi R8 chrome. They sprayed some sort of base coat on then they sprayed some chemical on it that made it turn into chrome. That's as detailed as I can get seeing that I have no expertise in such fields but it is possible. However it ruined the look of car in my opinion.
