I voted for "I`m still playing GT5, anxiously awaiting the next update will improve my experience".
It doesn't exactly express my opinion, but it's the closest...
Until I get a proper, stable mounting platform for my DFGT, I'm simply grinding B-Spec for credits to shop at the UCD, so I can't say I "love" the game given my current limited scope of use.
I'm not done with it either, because I've set out to advance as far as my ability will allow, and I haven't gotten anywhere near there yet.
Vibes and such are painting Friday's update as "minor", but I personally wouldn't be placing the most promising of expectations on it even if it was billed as "major". Personally, I'm not anxious over it (except the anxiety that the update will break things) and I'll be pleased as long as I see progress. Hopefully PD is listening, and we'll continue to see periodic updates and progress, because it would be a shame to see what was touted as the legacy of the GT series irreparably tarnished in a salad of awkward gameplay and game progression, topped with bad shadows and standard car renderings (plus many other ingredients), and a jumbled menu layout dressing...
GT5 is my first GT platform experience, so my view isn't colored by the past. For me, GT5 resides somewhere between:
a. It's not "The Real Driving Simulator', and is owed pre-GT6 work because it has issues and missed the mark of what it could've been given the time it took to release.
b. For what it's capable of given inherent limitations, what it does right it does very right and is an incredible game - albeit just a game.
You paid your money to play the game, so take from it what you can and want, and play it - or don't - as you see fit.
Peace...
