Are you using the rce modified ZR1 or the road version with a rear wing from the GT Autoshop? The tune is for the race modified car.

I was using the road version.
Now I have the RM and everthing is OK.
Tkank you

Marcio

after several attempts, mainly leading to being pipped at the finishing line by the very car I was about to win, the miniolita, I found this tune (THANK GOD :dopey:) and now I can emerge victorious with a brand spanking new lm car :):):)👍👍👍

ya but i dont live in france ,i'me in CANADA,so i have the same copy as the U.S. one, is it gone be wrong again, lolllllll,i tought i've fond some thing with my 918 hp,on the ZR1 it does'nt look like it ,Merry Chrystmas to you all.

Great tune, but I don't get how you guys got over 990hp?
I bought the car new, changed the oil, did the RM, bought all the upgrades.
My car now has 878hp.
That is a ways off from the 905-918hp that others are stating.
Did I miss something?

Do some races first and the hp will increase.

it was some aussie or something using a different measure of hp, ch or something, look back at the thread

ok heres my set up for the zr1 race mod on indy.
ride hight +45/0
spring rate 6.5/12.0
dampers ex 10/5
dampers com 4/7
ati roll bars 7/5
camber -3.0/-1.0
toe -.50/+.50
diff 5/20/15
tranny top speed 267
down force 35/30
tires racing soft front and rear
all engine mods done 905hp 1100kg

pretty easy win high 220's on the straight 210 or so in the corners. I only lift if i turn in to late or have to take the high line.

Hey man, glad to hear you were successful with this tune. :)
Setup is great for indy but is there some other setups for the different tracks? Like laguna?
A lot of guys have found that on regular circuits this tune actually works as well as most other tunes, maybe better than most.

jorday,

i have a few questions i normally play with all the aids on... is that a problem for this race??? wat is downforce:35/35??????what transmison setting should it be at i have mine at 380?????

The thing about the driving aids, is they might slow you down excessively in the turns. You should be able to stay above 205 mph in the turns so if you're dropping down to like 190 or something then one of them is slowing you down.

For downforce, in the pre race menu, select settings > body/chassis > aerodynamics. Then set front downforce to 35 and rear to 53.

If you are using metric units, 261 mph is about 420 km/h.

Hope that helps. :)

thanks jorday,

ill try that i turned aids off and a huge difference but im only pushin 891 hp now and i had lead going into final lap on turn 3 and i attempeted to block a and the car spun me out

Play with the ads. Stability managemend makes some cars faster and some cars slower (in my hands)

I use teh pagina zonda R for this race, really easy to win, with some basics setup work. of corse fully tuned.

on basic tuning tip set up the front 20mm higher as rear on a oval course, top speed will increase al lot

yeah damn zr1 only has 713 and i dont see it getting 200 more hp from oil changes and breaking in motor, I mean granted it does only have like 1000 miles on it?!?!

Hmm, at first these settings worked well and the car handled like it was on rails going full throttle. I did some of the indy races, then golded daytona, and now I'm doing indy again but the car doesn't handle as well anymore.

Anyone know what's going on? Currently at 901 hp, I have to brake heavily now otherwise I'll understeer and hit the walls. I tried restoring the chassis but that did nothing.

i'm in the same boat. I have 716HP. I have EVERYTHING on the car and it has roughly 300 miles at least. I don't see me getting +200 HP from oil or rebuilds.

I'm not sure if moding the car in a specific order has to do anything. I oil changed then mod the cars with ALL parts, then did the (RM) conversion.

I just realized some of my parts i purchased wasn't installed! :dunce: But i'm still at 849 :(

I've only just started to realise how important tuning is. Haven't played many games at all since GT2 and some Pro Evo's. Done a load of the races on standard tuning with the ZR1 RM but this Indy race in particular has been such an ass. Finally managed to win the race yesterday on standard tuning after about 15 attempts... then realised my oil had pushed me down to 866hp!

oh, if anyone has any advice on how to get to grips with the basic/intermediate levels of tuning I'd be very appreciative (not things like, downforce will make you grip more lol).

Anyway, REALLY looking forward to checking out this setup and getting more in to the tuning side of things.

I used a much simpler approach with the tunning and was able to own the competition on the oval track. Was really easy and i did not even have to use the breaks on the cornering. The car seems to top out at 215 MPH which is just barely fast enough to keep the other cars behind me.

So I managed to give this race a couple of tries with this tuning. High 41's were commonplace and it was so incredibly easy to win!

I found I was almost taking the corners too easily though, is that purposeful so that you can avoid full lock when rounding the corners? Or does that imply that a couple of other minor tweaks could push the times down even futher.

Still a bit of a newb at all this tweaking lark!

downforce 35/53
trans gearing 261
diff 10/20/10
ride height 0/0
spring rate 16.6/13.4
damper ext 9/7
damper comp 9/7
anti roll 3/5
camber 2.0/1.5
toe 0.0/-.85

tires racing soft/soft
905 hp

you should be able to stay on the throttle the entire race with this. Try it. I cmopleted 5 laps in 3:36 with this.

Results?

Thank you so much for this setup!

I can reach 225-226 mph on the straights with my settings.

0.85 rear toe? You must have written that wrong.

This one is a little better...

No, that is the correct number for the rear toe...seems to have worked well for a lot of guys in this thread.

The other tune you have posted is a good one as well.
