Sorry, but I'm disagreeing this. Since the first day I used the editor it was clear that scaling decals much beyond the native size was detrimental to quality. It's less noticeable on flat surfaces, but it becomes ****ing awful on highly contoured surfaces. Poor scaling is most definitely not related to this latest update.
I completely agree with the decals on the contoured surfaces is a problem. As far as the quality of enlarging decals, I would never say it was of the exact same quality as at default size, but I still found the decals I was using to be of a suitable quality in relation to what I was creating, and never felt the need to enlarge them to any great degree. I can only speak for myself as far as my designs. I have no idea to what size and scale you were looking to apply your decals. What cannot be in question is the awful drop of in quality of even default size decals, which look still look crisp in the GT website upload website screen (if that even means anything) but then turn to mushy peas when viewed in game.
